Kansas State University, often referred to as K-State, has had its moments of success in college football and can be considered a competitive program, particularly within the Big 12 Conference. The level of success and competitiveness of K-State's football program can vary from year to year.

Under the leadership of legendary head coach Bill Snyder, K-State had a notable period of success in the 1990s and early 2000s. During that time, the team became known for its disciplined, well-coached style of play. They consistently competed in bowl games and achieved high rankings in the national polls.

K-State's football program has had some ups and downs since that era, but they have remained competitive within the Big 12 Conference. They've had success in recent years and have continued to qualify for bowl games.

It's important to note that the landscape of college football can change from season to season due to factors like coaching changes, player recruitment, and conference dynamics. While K-State may not consistently contend for national championships, they are known for their competitive spirit and have a dedicated fan base.

Okstate also has the highest paid strength and conditioning coach in the nation, which is why they can do what they do.

Oklahoma State are coached up very well, and they apply their half time adjustments.
Coach Gundy is one of, if not the best, coaches in the Big XII and possibly the country.
The portal decimated the Pokes, yet they continue to find ways to win.
That equates to great coaching and a buy in from the players.
Blessings from Oklahoma

People forget Okstate has the 2nd most wins in the Big12 just can’t beat OU for the titles. We’ve had 17 straight bowl appearances my dude.

Alan bowman is a great qb in my opinion, dude always makes the right read, doesn’t turn the ball over, and he can burn you on the deep ball.

We been telling WVU for 5 years now it is the coaching upon deaf ears

As a wvu fan, you are correct, the coach just does not seem to have it. Team lacks motivation or discipine on the field at times and the game never seems managed appropriately...like going up by more than 14 before becoming conservative. He coaches and calls plays like his personality....no fire and analytically. can we finally get someone with a passion and emotion for winning!

Don’t discount Major Applewhite’s ability to overcome a lack of natural talent. He’s been doing it his whole life. Ask Chris Simms and Mack Brown.

Not just you but everyone says OSU lost a lot of talent in the portal, really. I don’t see it, is there anyone doing anything at their new schools. Sanders is keeping the bench warm, Cobb is stinking the place up according to USC fans. Mike said last spring he was going to change the running game up, I guess he has,

You keep saying bottom 5 roster, but you can't justify that statement. Yes guys left, but they had some playmakers behind them. Short of QB they reloaded. What coaching staff did at the start of the season was disgraceful and maleficence. The entire program rallied and turned the ship around.

If you think osu roster is bottom 5 do you know Oklahoma state doesn't need high end players to win games Mike gundy is very very good at making there roaster play amazing you have the greatest strength and conditioning coach in college football in my opinion so we don't need high end guys to play amazing and win games would it be nice to get them here yes but it not all about roaster rankings it how they play and wining games

This year could be Mike Gundy's biggest troll year yet.

Sooners are in the cat's seat, but I've got my peripheral vision keeping a long glance at K State and the Pokes. Iowa State sitting there lurking around in the weeds hoping you forgot about them and believe that OU is still thirty points better than the Cyclones today... West Virginia could use a win over OU to save their coach again. OU isn't safe, but they are still in as good of a position as I could have even dreamed of prior to the season.

Shocks? Anyone who has been watching any football this month knew OSU was going to win.

It makes perfect sense!! Neal Brown is the worst coach in college football today, and he's ruined WVU football!! #FireLoserNealBrownNow!!

You’re late on this one brother. I hope to God Brown gets fired as soon as possible. We have a little rift in the West Virginia fanbase they think it’s not polite to criticize, but I mean we’ve got five seasons of Neil Brown doing this crap he’ll win a couple of games fans got all excited the other day I got it was on a podcast after they had the TCU win talking about giving another extension, I just laughed and I waited a couple more weeks because I knew what was gonna happen because it always happens with him. I’ve watched it for five seasons. They need to fire him now because the defensive coordinator is the head coach and start looking for a head coach right now get one in before recruiting signing day, I’ll talk to someone close to the program and they change. They probably will make the run like a rich Rodriguez style. Spread run offense with a little bit of air raid sprinkled in. Swish the defense to a 3 3 5. Change the mentality and the identity of the team. Look at Oregon Ducks do you remember West Virginia when Rich Rodriguez was coaching there? Oregon ducks were doing the same thing they’re doing now when we were doing it in West Virginia we first thought Steve Slaton, Pat, White, Noel, and Devon Tavon Austin knew those names. I’m just saying we can go back to what we’re best at and we could probably beat almost every team in the Big 12 if we go back to the spread offense Run run with a little bit of air raid. Just to keep the defense balance and the 335 defense is good West Virginia ran 335 for about 15 to 20 years. We were good at defense too when we did that but I talked to a top guy and if they choose someone that’s what they want him to try to install with West Virginia, they’ve already tried being another big team and just doing straight air raid that didn’t work so we need to go back to doing it our way the Fiesta bowl Against Oklahoma if you remember that game if you don’t look it up. Matter of fact to look it up that game we played Oklahoma and smashed him. We were averaging somewhere between six and 800 yards on the ground a game back then. Oregon Ducks are doing it this year. I think they have the right idea and I think a lot of people the heads at West Virginia have seen that and they know what we’ve always been good at so I think they’re going to go back to that Markc, my words they’ll hire coach And they’ll run the spread offense run heavy probably 60% of the time but air raid about 40% of the time it’ll be a different kind of offense... I feel sorry for the players cause it’s not them it’s not. I don’t even know what kind of offense Neil Brown runs, to be honest with you. Is it a pro-style offense? I’m not sure Green tried to run today against the Oklahoma State quarterback they knew what was coming because they studied tape when the two linemen came to block for him. His offense is too predictable and he never scores over 30 points. Lucky to get 20 points in the game and I heard they don’t wanna hold the ball all the time either. They do not want to be Iowa as a Big 12 they want to be West Virginia, the Big 12, which was the West Virginia of the Big East if he looked that up dominant as hell. No huddle shotgun hurry up, offenses, assume what they’re gonna run not holding the ball until one or two seconds on every play. He’s lost more games than he’s won at West Virginia and that man got paid $4 million this year to be the coach of West Virginia. He belongs to a Mac school if they would even hire him now. He’s lost more games than he’s won at West Virginia and that man got paid $4 million this year to be the coach of West Virginia. There for a minute, he had me fooled I thought he may he may have could have turned it around but then I saw a I’d watched him for four years. I know how he runs his off and there’s no way because you got a score a lot in the Big 12 and offenses that are good. It doesn’t matter how good your defense is they’re going to score. Look at Houston and Texas today. Hogerson’s team scored 21 points in like fucking five minutes And Todd the game then I turned it back on the West Virginia game because I had to watch them even though I knew they were losing it’s awful being a West Virginia fan with Brown as the head coach. It’s not the players I mean he’s got a couple of top 25 recruiting classes, he has good players it’s the staff and the coach not to mention Nico is on the bench and he’s a four-star coming out of high school. Look at that kid's high school tapes he can throw the ball if you can’t run at least put Nico out there and let him throw the ball let him slang around a little bit. I’m just frustrated with West Virginia man if they don’t fire him this year there’s something wrong going on here because the whole point of being in the Big 12 is to win the Big 12 You can go back and look at Coach Rodriguez‘s West Virginia team when we were playing in the big east scoring 50 to 70 points a game running the spread offense the run spread offense option. It wasn’t a triple option Pat, White, and Steve Slaton that’s what I’m talking about bringing back that was a little bit of what Dana Olson did sprinkled in with that hurry-up offense. That’s the best idea because we’re not gonna beat the Big 12 at the Big 12 game and the Big 12 loves to sell the ball so we need to do what we’re best at and every time we beat a Big 12 team before we got in the big 12 we were running the option spread off, and also the 335 defense if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.
Kid out of Maryland dual-threat quarterback he can run and throw he’ll be coming in this coming class so he’ll probably be the future of that spread offense. I’m a West Virginia fan and you were right at the beginning of the season I think they got lucky when they beat TCU with the Block those two pots Pittsburgh is got awful this year. I mean look at the record just Google it you’ll see that 0:00 the other team Ducane Well there’s nothing to say about them. Let’s just say they beat their second game. They truly won that game TCU got lucky Pittsburgh. I mean they’re awful this year. Just look them up then TCU that was pure luck. Block two pints Oklahoma state. beat us today. UCF almost beat Oklahoma today I’m pretty sure that we next not sure I haven’t looked in the schedule. Houston won and Houston wasn’t supposed to be good in Oklahoma State wasn’t supposed to be good. enough I believe you were right this past summer saying that West Virginia but only win one big 12 game they will probably win two or 3 max and that’s being generous. UCF almost beat Oklahoma today. I’m pretty sure that we next not sure I haven’t looked in the schedule. We owe you an apology. You were 100% correct about this West Virginia team. It’s not the players it’s the coach and the staff around him. I would put all my money on it. They’ll be gone this season there’s no way they’ll keep him. Just as a huge West Virginia football fan. I wanted to tell you that you were correct about their season and you didn’t know of anybody's apology. We actually owe you one because it looks like hoodwinked us all. We all jumped to conclusions before we saw what it was.
