The lottery forcing people to reveal their identity should be illegal. It puts people at risk simply to benefit the lottery for advertisement. 😮

What an "Insane Downward Spiral" where she kept her money, moved into a nice house and lived happily every after.

This woman also did wonderful things. She gave some close work friends enough money to retire. Class act

Finding an honest attorney could be harder than winning the lottery.

Over 55% taxes??!! They said she won $758M and received $336M, which is a whopping 55%! That's the real insane part.

In Australia, all winners are anonymous, the first prize is ten times lower than in the USA and the winnings are not taxed. Much safer for all concerned.

She paid $422m (56%) in tax on that win? Why in God’s name would tax be owed on it? All the money in the pot is from people who bought tickets, from their income, so there’s already been tax paid on it!

The danger is fame, not wealth. Smart people seek wealth without the fame.

I drove Mavis once in California wasn’t sure if it was her but pretty sure. She just came back from safari and talked about it. Very nice lady. Went to Starbucks and she bought me a coffee, just a normal trip with a nice lady. Took her to a beach home and she Tipped me 50.00 wish all my passengers were as thoughtful and nice.

This video could have been 30 seconds. It felt like filler words to meet the requirements of a college essay.

How is that an insane downward spiral? She took it all in stride and turned out great.

My friend's brother won $ 5 million in the lottery. A Mormon co worker arranged for Mormon missionaries to befriend him. They convinced him to join their church and give 10 % of his lottery winning to this religion. Although Mormonism teaches the lottery is a sin & evil, the Mormon church took 10 % of his winnings & 10% of the future earning from his investments.

So, what was the insane downward spiral?

If she was allowed to remain anonymous, I think it would’ve been a different and better story for her.

I never won the lottery, but in June of 2001, I was mowing my lawn in 90 degree heat, while simultaneously drinking vodka laced lemonade. I began to have chest pains, and after a few scary moments, I called for an emergency ambulance to take me to the hospital, which is less than 5 minutes from my house. The doctors claimed the vodka saved my life, ....as it thinned my blood enough, to buy me time. 2 days later I had double bi-pass, open heart surgery. After I fully recovered, a couple months later, ....I had a new lease on life. Way better than a lottery win. I was 50 at the time and Now I am 70.

She deserved her win. May she be blessed and use her new wealth to help others.
