It’s worth noting that these geneseed organs are an incredibly complex way of genetically modifying a person.

It makes no sense until you realize that it turns the immense computational task of directly modifying a person’s genetic code into just a surgical task.

Given the limited availability of massive computers and the prohibition against AI, that’s actually pretty useful.
