The Space marines from Warhammer 40k are trans human super soldiers. we all know this, but what does that even mean? are they still human or something more? aside from their extensive training, rigorous reconditioning, and century's of combat experience, they are also given 19 implants that have a wide array of effects, some being super weird, well others are crazy powerful. lets take a look at the 19 implants a space marine receives that makes him better than us regular humans.

My favorite use of the omniphagea was from the Ultramarines novel "Courage and Honour" when a sergeant ate a tau's brain and was able to pilot a Piranha via muscle memory. He was basically like "I have no idea what I'm doing but it's working!" lol

The difference between the two "Half-Marines" you mention, Luther and Kor Pheron is interesting. Like how almost all the Dark Angels saw Luther as a true marine and not just an equal to them, but as a second Primarch. But Kor Pheron of the Word Bearers, who was the adopted father of the primach they all loved, was looked down upon by most and they talked about him behind his back etc.
Shows you how Luther could make so many join him, while the loyalty to Kor Pheron was just due to proxy and for a chance to gain a bit of extra power.

The concept of a marine biting on chains as the metal dissolves with acid is both amazing and terrifying

Hey Wes, here's a funny story from my dad that used to work at GW in old days.

When business was slow in store they used to invent mini games for the heck of it. Such as squig racing. Take a bunch of squigs. (Or any model with random movement) and draw a track like a running track on the table. Roll for movement each turn, first to get their Squig across the finish line wins. Bumping into another Squig sends them back to the start.

I've read this before, but listening to this really makes me think that the writers did their research before writing the Gen seed lore. All these implants seem like they would work in a science fiction post apocalyptic world.
Bravo to the writers really.

the progenoid gland has a less well known but more important function aswell
it doesnt just function as a data collection centre for reproduction
but is also the organ that merges with the aspirants nervous system and makes it bind to all the new organs properly along with ensuring the aspirants bodys genetics are adjusted so it becomes one with the implants and does not reject it
it is what merges all the previous implants together and finally makes the space marine
before this stage you would have a heavily augmented human, after this its no longer human and augmentations but one posthuman
also on a more mundane level but incredibly important, prevents the marine to eventually become allergic to all the weird stuff crammed into his body

*4 more, in an ideal world every fallen marine produces 4 glands that can make 4 new marines
thats what made previous attempts at making supersupersoldiers fail
like the ravens attempt at making better marines faster made a success rate lower then 1/4, so while he was succesfull at making amazing new marines fast the project was afaliure since it would deplete the geneseed stores already low after the istvan massacre
atleast until chaos helped get that survival rate to acceptable lvls

For vision, the two numbers (i.e. 20/20) represent the apparent distance versus a standard distance. The bottom number is usually 20, representing what a normal person can see at 20 feet. The top number is a representation of what the evaluated person's performance was at that distance and lower numbers are considered to be superior vision; so a number of 40 means that this person sees an object at 20 ft as a normal person would see it at 40 ft. So Space Marines probably have something like 10/20 or even 5/20 vision and thus are able to perceive at 20 ft what a normal person only notices from 5 ft away.

"I'm about to butcher all of these names."
"Number one: second heart."
Sounds good to me.

“Hey, Weshammer. I been a lot of your Warhammer content a lot and slowly becoming a fan of it.

So I was been wondering something in my mind of the universe of 40k. And been heavily wondering what the universe would still be, if the “Horus Heresy” was prevented. If the Emperor tells his sons about Chaos and know Erebus.

And also been wondering how the universe would still be if the “Horus heresy” was prevented in the year of 40k. It just bothers me of how it would be if the emperor could’ve prevented it all of this”

Me and my friends are actually doing a 40k dnd game, and one of our other friends wanted to join us but he had no idea anything about 40k space marines, so I was like “okay sit down. So you know Captain America? Imagine Captain America with acid spit, the ability to learn memories and instincts by consuming flesh, the ability to almost instantly clot their wounds, two hearts. Oh and I forgot, they don’t need to sleep. Oh oh oh, and I forgot, they wear Master Chief Armour” and he was like “I’m sorry? What? How are they losing?” And I said “Galaxy wide Voodoo doll that detonates Suns”

You’re killing it dude. I was never a fan of tik tok stuff cause it’s too short but the longer form content you’ve been putting out is brilliant. Keep em coming

I love how instead of just listing all the implants, you go into details on them and even tell us some exceptions and characters involving them.

People really don't like acknowledging that melanin has an evolutionary purpose other than just aesthetics.

owls also turn off half their brain to halfsleep
its weird what nature is capable of sometimes
its cool that something as unimaginable as never fully sleeping is actually not special at all for non humans
