If there's anything Warhammer 40k fans are good at, it's waiting. Thank you for your service, Apothecary Raynor.

This series got me from looking for “videos on physical therapy for running” deep into 40k lore and eventually into the hobby. Got my first minis and paints recently, and it’s nice to see a finale finally. Awesome content.

I like to tell people that sometimes a serious answer to a silly question is a fun exercise and can be quite interesting. This series about creating space marines epitomizes that mentality and I absolutely love it.

Your explanation of the black carapace actually helps prove the lore. In lore, neophytes have to re-learn how to move/act post transformation as they have to adapt to their new speed. Its also explains how a marine can continue to fight beyond "death". In lore, marines can fight on after massive physical trauma (head half missing, hole through chest etc). A synthetic nervous system that can work after CNS death would allow that. I love your videos. They help give realism to the lore

Whatsup Doc!
I have a lot to say on this vid as its rather close to my heart.
1. im disabled - with a spine that cuts out signals occasionally (my heart goes out to those whos spines are cut permanenlty, I get by)
2. Im a 40k nerd, I even painted professionally for GW when I was a student doing summer work - some of that old art in magazines/box art.. mine.
3. I worked on tech for human machine interfaces for the Ministry of Defense for research this was 20+ years ago. (strictly for research at the time)
As I have gotten older I now see work I did 20+ years ago making its way to civi/medical life in terms of prosthetics and the like. I specifically worked on the computer code side of things, and firmware - interpreting the signals picked up by electrodes and 'making sense' of them. While there is no way my actual code is still being used - the lessons I learned in writing it will be, we all build on each others work.

If you want to talk or ask me any questions about this work id be happy to answer, its all declassified now.
also worth me saying, your first space marine vid was how I found this channel, but I have enjoyed much of your other content. Respect to you for being such a good and forward thinking educator.

This series has been really cool, even though we can't get close to making a space marine with today's technology I enjoyed hearing an actual physician react to the insane body modification the Astartes undergo.
My own knowledge only goes as deep as a medical terminology class and some EMT training so this series actually helped me wrap my head around how some of the space Marines implants might work.
I'm obsessed with learning and understanding how things work so it's been entertaining and thought provoking.

Scifi/fantasy writer, here. Love this series. Not the biggest Warhammer fan, but the idea of exploring the how of various settings is great for doing more “hard” setting building. Thank you!

Would love to see a medical take on the nutrition aspect of the Hive cities of the Imperium of man. Specifically, the process of creating "corpsestarch" nutrition blocks and its viability. The entire premise is horrible but a grounded medical perspective would be interesting nonetheless.

YouTube adverts for cooking equipment showing after the Onomaphagea section made me chortle! 😂

What brilliant work! Lived this entire series.

As for what next - servitors! Servitors! Servitors! 😀

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a "sumup" with all the steps that would figure the logistics (would it take hours, days?) of all of these procedures, professions involved and "theoretical" timeline before Billy's first stomp as a Space Marine :3

Some of these procedures feel like it would take years to recuperate!

Seriously great work, I have been a 40k fan for over 30 years now, and I thoroughly enjoyed these videos. I would love to see you cover more factions within the Imperium, such as Adept Mechs, The Titian Princeps, other cybernetic thoughts and theories, you definitely need to cover the Dreadnaughts, as well as the Rejuvenation treatments please

What a fantastic series! It's crazy to think that we can kind of do some of the Astartes enhancements now. Not well or without a heap of pain and suffering, but they can be done.

Love your channel, Doctor!

Chief Apothecary Raynor, your work has been recognized in the service to the Emperor of Man. It'd be cool to see the Primaris Marines transition and I'd like to see what it'd be like for a member of the Adeptus Mechanicus to slowly but surely replace their living parts to become more machine than human like Archmagos Belisarius Cawl or someone more mechanical than even him. You could also cover the Drukhari and their Haemonculus anatomy/studies. Then there's the Death Korps of Krieg and how does a Vitae Womb work

Thank for doing this series - it is by far the most entertaining way to learn about science, medicine and less known facts about human bodies that I came across in a long time! And I am so watching any other 40k videos! :)
