Tacx Neo noisey bearing

I’ve done over 70,000km on Zwift on my Tacx Neo. Consequently bearings have worn out, making noise and probably forcing me to expend precious extra watts I can’t afford to waste.
The old edco freehub was the first to be replaced. I can’t remember why I didn’t just replace the bearings, Maybe lack of tools or knowledge back then. However I did assume this was the most likely cause of most of the grinding/noise was coming from. Although this did eliminate some of the symptoms it didn’t feel or sound like everything was perfect.
I decided to by some tools to get me deeper into Neo to see what I could find and what I found was the small 6002 in the main bearing block was way beyond it’s used by date.
So not to say this may be everyone’s issue here is a quick listen to the sound of a shot 6002 bearing in a Tacx Neo smart trainer and then again after I installed a new bearing from eBay.

Hey,
thank you for sharing, i have a similar issue and am wondering what are the next steps. Contacting Garmin Support Service or TacX since they were bought in 219. Did you change the bearing yourself, Did they send you the replacement kit? Enjoy the rides.
