The title of this video is misleading. You told us nothing of what is written in the Talmud. The vagueness in this video is odd and suggests there's something to hide. Not one example of an actual passage for us to gain some understanding of the culture.

Within Judaism, there's a distinction between being ethnically Jewish (having ancestry from the Jewish people) and being a convert to Judaism (someone who chooses to follow the Jewish faith). I am Dominican - born in the Bronx, New York. I was raised Catholic. I took my Ancestry DNA in 2018 and discovered I was genetically Jewish. Then everything I read and studied about the 12 Tribes of Jacob, invasion of the Assyrians through the North and how the rest of the tribes escaped through the SOUTH and into Africa, years later came the Trans-Atlantic slave trade and so on. Negroes, Hispanics and Native Americans are the modern day descendants of ancient Israelites.

A detail swept under the rug: there are actually _two_ Talmuds, the Talmud Bavli (Babylonian Talmud) and the Talmud Yerushalmi (Jerusalem Talmud, also called the Palestinian Talmud). They're both written in Aramaic, but different dialects: the Bavli is written in Eastern Aramaic and the Yerushalmi is written in Western Aramaic, which are so different they can almost be called different languages.

Correction to 2:50: Maimonides never wrote a commentary to the Talmud, Nachmanides did. Maimonides did comment on the Mishna though.
