“I can’t be good at my job and be nice.” that’s incredibly and worryingly accurate for women in movies in general

"Why? Because I need to find the equation" I'm gonna start using this one

“My minimal makeup, neutral lipstick, and ponytail will also help you understand that I am science.”

From the makers of " I undo my pony tail and become a goddess" and " There will definitely be a scene where kissing is interrupted because she finally understands the equation " comes the bestseller " I am a woman, but also a scientist "

"I can't be good at my job AND be nice."

Spot on. The smarter the woman character, the more distant and mean they are. Especially towards other women in the movie.

don’t forget that her father was a scientist bc her mother died when she was little from some unknown illness and the father spent his life trying to find a cure for it, but once he died that became HER responsibility
_and she just can’t give up now_

The whole father being a scientist and it being the reason she's there is so true, and somehow the dad has some kind of scientific find or experiment based around her name or something that she really liked as a child. She's gonna hate her dad for being so busy during her childhood but when she finds this out she realizes how much he loved her and she ends up finding the equation

You can't forgot the flash-back scene when she is a little girl

"I can't be good at my job and be nice." Honestly this is so accurate for women in powerful roles in movies

“I can’t be good at my job *and* be nice.”
I’ve known so many people who act this way, and that disturbs me.

"This was my father's jacket. He was a women's size 6."

You forgot to mention that her father was killed 10 years ago in a terrible accident in the lab. And because of that, she made it her life goal to find the formula her father couldn’t, even though her mother disapproves of this.

The “I got it!” Then runs, is so on point in these movies 😂

but she'll still have that one scene at the end where she's all dolled up for the male protagonist; She will comment on how uncomfortable heels, form-fitting dresses, makeup and jewelry are because she is a scientist not Anna Nicole.

Where's her honorary degree in psychology? This woman is like an expert behavioral pattern recognizer.

Don't forget the part where she either has a gender neutral first name or is referred to as "doctor" so the male protagonist can assume it's a dude before the big reveal of *GASP* it's a woman.

I'm an extra shy, woman Scientist, virgin who is all of sudden confident and sexy as soon as I take my out of style glasses off.
