My first questions before coming to Albania was, can I travel Albania alone? especially as a solo female traveller? Is Albania a difficult country to travel and is there anything I should be concerned about? What do I need to know before coming to Albania? In this Albania Travel Vlog I show you my experience traveling Albania for the first time, taking a local bus from Tirana to Berat. Dealing with taxi drivers in Albania, figuring out the slightly complicated Albanian bus system & sharing my tips on how to have the best experience possible traveling this beautiful country! Basically, everything you need to know before visiting Albania!

If you decided to read my book 'I lived in Shanghai' PLEASE leave an Amazon review! It would help me out a lot! :)

Edith Durham went to Albania in a time period where women had 0 rights in Albania, and she travelled the entire north alone without being robbed or assaulted, instead she was titled "Queen of The Highlands"

I've been to Malta four times. Love it. Corfu airport is fantastic for plane spotting, especially at the end of the runway. Beautiful area. I have never flown with Turkish airlines, but I will in the future. Great video.👍😊✈️🛫

I actually liked that you don't need to book the ticket in advance, just turn up whenever is convenient to you, even spontaneously, and someone will take the payment on the bus.

I think one guy asking for your phone number doesn't really qualify as not a safe situation. If I were to see you, I would do the same thing. You're a beautiful young lady, so I would see it as a compliment. ❤

Thanks for sharing your story. You’ve gotten comments effacing or minimising your uncomfortable experience. However, I 100% get where you’re coming from. Tell it like it is 👍

I think communication is one of the difficult problems when traveling to Albania alone, but a great video to show and know about the country.

Stumbled across your channel two or three days ago. It was recommended so I watched and now I'm a sub. :)

Random...but how much is the bus from Tirana Aiport to Saranda? I will be doing this trip in June and staying for a month. I haven't decided if I want to spend any actual time in Tirana though.

Thanks! And keep up the great vlogs!!!

One day a young man was hunting in the mountains, where an eagle flew over him beating his wings hard and stopped on a rock. The eagle was very large and held a snake in its beak. After a while, the eagle flew over the rock and stopped where it had its nest. The young boy jumped on the rock and noticed that in the nest was a little eagle playing with the dead snake. But the serpent was not dead at all. At that moment the snake raised its head and positioned itself ready to bite the little eagle with its venomous teeth.
The boy immediately drew his bow and arrow and shot at the snake to death. Then he took the eagle and took the way back.
When he had only taken a few steps, he heard a loud bang on his head, it was the mother eagle.

"Why are you kidnapping my baby?" The eagle cried.

"The eagle is now mine, because I saved her life by killing the snake she wanted to bite, the snake you could not kill yourself." replied the boy.

"With this my chick and I will give you in return the sharpness of my eyes and the strength of my wings. You will become strong and invincible and you will be known by my name.
The boy obeyed and returned the chick to his mother. When the chick grew up and began to fly, it was always seen flying in the sky somewhere above the boy's head, wherever he went, who himself had become a man. With his bow and arrow he killed many predators in the woods and with his sword cut off the heads of many malicious opponents.
During all these years, the eagle accompanied the boy and guided him without even a moment's separation.
Marveling at the exploits of the boy hunter and warrior, the inhabitants of those parts chose him as their leader and called him Albanian or son of Albanian, and the lands where they lived were called Albania or the Land of the Eagles.
