In some cases turning off the sound works if you play music in the background, just do that (usually due to an old out-of-date driver = system will make it work by over-working itself up to X4 lowering performance to keep up to the requirement forced upon your sound setup). Otherwise you can get past the lack of RAM if you lower resolution/texture/shadows in any game and turn off anything you can. Otherwise its probably your graphics if this occurs while offline as well.

I loved playing this back in the day.
