There is no greater joy than getting your yamadori stuff into a pot. I love this piece with all its quirkiness. This will be so much fun to develop over the next few years :)

HEY~~ excellent video! My challenge last week was to start repotting a client's bonsai collection... he kills as many has he keeps alive but with a little TLC his collection will thrive. He keeps all his trees outside all winter, and includes a few yamadori I collected up north, including a jack pine still in a nursery pot and an upright thuja pair presented as a penjing. Cool place if you ever want to visit!

Dr. Dave with some great surgical procedures with the root system on this AM. Nice looking specimen to me. What about wood glue for the cavity? It would dry clear and keep any decay from forming more. Just a thought.

Dave, you need one of those ratchet cutters like Candice and Peter Chan have. Those are some big roots.
