My theory is the void is like the ocean, there’s layers and layers to it, except all the energy transfer, was originally to one being, Wally. Those who entered the void where warped and drained overtime by the void, becoming corrupted. Then Wally gave us a part of that power, but by doing so let him break out from the “other side”. I think that’s why our operators have infinite energy, because it’s like we’re taking a glass of water from the ocean.

There seems to be many Lotus hands - more than she began with. My guess is that wally is abusing the concept of eternalism, and allowing them to exist simultaneously.

The Lotus loses her hand to Ballas, the Lotus keeps both her hands.

Wally keeps the lost hand, Wally sends the lost hand to Duviri to empower the drifter.

I could be very wrong about this though, its hard to keep track of all these off screen interactions. I still think there are multiple hands, simply because the drifter can return to Duviri even after The New War, and they still use the Lotus hand when not in the Undercroft.
