I have a Cane Corso (Otis - 150lbs) about the same age as Zeus. Everything said about the breed in this video is 100% true. Whenever I used to travel for work, security was always something I thought about, but now that Otis is at home on duty I no longer think about that. He would lay down his own life for his family, and he is spoiled accordingly.
This breed is so amazing. What an incredible family friend he has become.

I have Miss Maggie Mae. She is Cane Corso and 126 lbs. She is beautiful, smart as hell, loving ad protective. She has her natural tail and ears and it will stay that way ( same as my Pitbull) She is sleek and fast as lightning! We rescued her and we love her to pieces ❤

Biggest Surprises I've had from owning 2 Cane Corsos
1) Mating season is ridiculosuly annoying with the male. They whine and whine and whine
2) No person who's inattentive to their dog, should own one. They will bite someone if you're not. I dont even care if trained, they are 'pre-installed' with the nature to defend home & family
3) After 6 months old, you should have space for them to run
4) Very intelligent. They need mental stimulation daily
5) They have natural herding & hunting instincts. Put them on a farm and watch them begin learning immediately
6) they cost a lot to maintain properly. Wholefood is the best way and only way to do it right. Raw or slightly raw (a little steamed) best. But takes a lot to understand diet.

Unless you get a working line that isn't mixed with neopolitian and so on most corsos aren't what the breed is meant to be or look like now a days.

I did not dock or crop my dog. Highly recommend leaving ears alone. Makes them so much more gentle looking.

The dog looks more Neo and 170 is too big .big isn't always best but it seems everything in the USA is huge. He's panting like it's an effort to breath normally and because of his size it's going to put a strain on his heart. This breed was the most agile mastiff but I doubt it will be for long.
