Diamine Imperial Purple is absolutely superb along with Syrah, Ancient Copper and Delamere Green. I enjoy strong colours in ink. I think you have convinced me to try a J. Herbin glass dip pen. Great videos!

I agree with your idea that pens demand to be used! The only one or two I don't use are some fragile vintage pens that are too deteriorated to use without further damage: and my collection is mostly vintage.

You might want to try KWZ inks, from Poland. Lovely colors with great names. My favorite is a blue called “Walk on the Vistula.” One question: what do you think of Bullet Journaling? Obviously different from the more in-depth journaling you do.

I got to thinking and I technically did get gifted a pen!...I won a pen in a giveaway from AdventureDenali! My brass sport of all pens! Although It was something I put myself into..it was a surprise that I won...and she gifted it so beautifully. I really felt special that day. And I love my brass sport, I take it with me everywhere!

My best discovery of the year was an ink that has become my signature ink - Diamine Bloody Brexit.
I had gotten interested in the Brexit debates and started listening to British talk radio during that time (dont worry, I won't get political with my opinions). I have also always liked Diamine inks and saw this beautiful blue that has an intriguing red sheen when it dries. I found out its name was Bloody Brexit, so I had to have it.
It is a German market exclusive - and Cleveland, Ohio is not in Germany - but I was able to find a vendor who sold it, and I absolutely fell in love with the ink. I now own 3 bottles since it is difficult to get, and it is my "signature ink".
Diamine Midnight Hour is a similar blue with a red sheen, and it is more readily available, but it is not the same deep, beautiful blue as Bloody Brexit.
