There's another technique I've read where you keep the tip of your tongue where it is and instead raise and drop the center of your tongue slightly to make the space bigger and smaller. I just started teaching myself overtone singing a day ago and I'm getting three, maybe four notes by doing this. So maybe it's not as practical as the R/L technique, but maybe something to consider for when someone asks you to demonstrate overtone singing and you blow them away ;)

Anna-Maria Hefele so quick question, why can a dominant 7th (from the fundamental) be produced, and not a major 7th?? It has always puzzled me!
