Pachelbel's Canon - Overtone Singing

Wolfgang Saus sings two melodies at the same time: bass & soprano of Pachelbel's Canon simultaneously. It's a short demonstration of polyphonic overtone singing skills (sometimes referred to as throat singing) used in special new classical compositions.

The interesting thing about doing this with overtone singing is: the melody was always hidden in the overtones of the bass voice. Many ancient composers intuitively created "harmonic" melodies out of overtones of a basso continuo.

This is the best and clearest example of the "double voice" that I know of. Just 43 seconds long and it is obvious that a kind of "musical miracle" is happening !

I’m (almost) more impressed by the fact that you can keep straight what your hands are doing at the same time. As someone who plays cello and never learned to play e.g. piano or another instrument where you can play multiple rhythms at the same time, my brain can’t handle that.

I can´t understand how is it possible to produce that minor third relation (not present in harmonic series) on the third bass note, vi degree, exactly at 0:14...
I can only sing the major 3rd above fundamental note

Sie haben sehr lange geübt haben müssen um das mit solch einer "Leichtigkeit" singen zu können. Und der einzige Grund warum ich "Leicht" sage, ist weil es für alle anderen unmöglich ist.
