I found this computer in almost new old stock condition at a yard sale. This video is my recording of putting it together and starting it up.

back in 1997 when I was in High school.. I saw my old middle school had a bunch of these out to get scrapped.. I remember going there during the night with my neighbor friend and loading up a shopping cart with a bunch of these.. Some had C drives in them and some like this one.. Needless to say, my mother ended up junking them seeing how we didn't have the room.. If I were to hold on to them to this day I could sell them on eBay for alot of money..

It is amazing to see one of these old computers work. What a difference from today's computers.

I'm sure you got quite a few vintage collectors drooling over this unboxing.

You are so lucky :) I would write text on that baby, even if I had to correct errors and format on a modern... ThinkPad ;)

they knew how to make disks back not uncommon really to see disks from the 80s to work....but as time went on and floppy disks were dying out, they got worse with quality....it wasn't uncommon to get bad disks in a brand new pack when CD-Rs and DVD-Rs were on the market

IBM 5150 Logo? Eddie Van Halen must have made this one. lol. Call your new computer Eddie. Now ask Eddie if he want's to play war games. See If he responds with asking you to play a "nice game of chess" or something, just say No! and ask him to play "Global Thermonuclear War." When he said's "Fine..what side do you want?" You respond with "North Korea." lol

I have a not IBM of this kind of computer. It looks exactly the same but without the logo; I bought at an auction for a couple of peanuts some 25 years ago. In those times I also bought a lot of 8086 pc, and I cannot dump them out of nostalgia, although my office seems now like a dump-yard.
