Opening A TastyWorks Account

Recently I've been considering opening up a new trading account and have finally decided to test out TastyWorks. So during this video, I'm going to go through the entire process live of how to open up the account from beginning to end.

Once here it will ask you all the basic kind of information you might provide when opening a bank account (Name, address, Social Security, etc.)

After completing all the personal information, this is where you'll let them know the level of trading access you're looking for. For me, I want the ability to:

- Buy Stock
- Short Sell Stock
- Buy Options
- Sell Covered Calls
- Defined-Risk Spreads
- Sell Naked Calls
- Sell Naked Puts
- Futures

In this section you'll need to let them know you're experience level based on three options:

- Limited
- Good
- Extensive

Next you'll need to complete the "Trading Objective" section with the options:

- Speculation
- Growth
- Income
- Capital Preservation

After that you'll need to verify your income and assets information. After this you'll confirm the entered info then you'll submit your application.

And finally it's time to install the TastyWorks desktop platform and in a few days you'll be able to fund the account once approved.

Hi Markus, I have just watched this video and wondered if you could tell me whether I would open a cash or margin account if I am a newbie to options as I am a bit stumped as to what the differences are and want to open an account to try out options (just calls and puts as a beginner). I would initially open with just a small amount and see how I do. I notice that you go through it with us but as a newbie do they reject you if you haven't had much experience. I have traded stocks but never options and am going to follow your teachings on youtube. Thanks Brenda
