yes this is the right way, its also called the one hand technique, i have seen so many videos made by experienced nurses and they were using the wrong technique that would put you at high risk for the needle stick injury.

I’ve been using these pens for twenty years and half the time, this technique just doesn’t work. No matter how many times I spin the cap, the needle remains on the pen. I was hoping for some insightful new technique that always worked.

Nice video, I monitor my blood glucose levels by using FreeStyle Libre sensor and Ambrosia Blucon device. It update readings on phone app every 5 minutes without painful finger prick and give alarms too for out of range glucose values.

What if insulin cartridge/pen refill is empty & while changing refill u inserted the needle directly to the insulin refill instead of putting the pen refill inside the pen first. How to remove the needle from the new pen refill.

I think I pricked myself when I was removing the needle. I just felt small prick but there was no blood
