Masahiro Ito originally wanted to make the "threesome" with Pyramid Head and the Mannequins his first encounter but in my opinion this scene was way more powerful. You see a new monster which just silently watches you and it feels very menacing

I accidentally entered the room on the right and only caught a glimpse of a red figure on the end of the corridor. When I returned he was gone. Somehow it made the whole thing even more eerie

i do remember and i do know that the door will open and you'll have to go to his side but you won't encounter him he will disappear.

I just experienced this in the remake and it’s far scarier in the remake than the original. He’s right up against the bars and I just happened to turn around and there he was, scared the hell outta me 😂
