Discover the groundbreaking discovery of "dark oxygen" by scientists studying the deep sea. This video explores how oxygen is produced 4000 meters below the Pacific Ocean's Clarion-Clipperton Zone, challenging the long-held belief that photosynthesis is the sole source of oxygen on Earth. Learn about the implications this discovery has for our understanding of the origins of life and the potential for similar processes on other planets.

When I was younger I was most interested in studying the ocean 🌊 now I wonder how my life would have been if I had followed that calling. It's always been my feeling there's so much to learn there.

A explorer already said we are looking at galaxy and moon but we never explored the sea to its potential. Nice video and thanks for making it Amit.

Silicon dioxide is the most abundantly available compound in the earth’s crust. For every molecule of silicon, two molecules of oxygen are available. Probably the source of oxygen is traceable to SiO2.

By the way, opening scene showed divers. Divers at 4000 meters?🤔

If those rocks produce O2, then they should continue to produce O2.
There are only 2 possibilities, if it stops after a short time:
1) The rock does not produce O2, but HOLDS it.
2) there is another catalyst involved: Pressure, or Chemical, to produce the O2.

Is this what our ancestors wanted us to know via Samudra Manthan in the Satya Yuga? And, then there is evolution theory which fits well with Vishnu Avataras.

I have always felt that environmentalists have exaggerated the greenhouse effect.
Yes, we have to reduce pollution, no doubt. But environmentalists do have a vested interest.
If the levels of greenhouse gases increase algae in the seas and oceans can help convert carbon dioxide to oxygen by photosynthesis.
So there is a mitigating effect to some extent.

How origin of living organisms is linked to photosynthesis ( I mean How Oxygen production is linked to origin of life)?
