"That's what we all became health practitioners for, right? We want an income, but not at the expense of the well-being of our clients and patients. And it's so worthwhile when you realize how much good you could do with your knowledge." - Graham Phillips

Even though he followed the official government guidelines, pharmacist Graham Phillips got - in his words - "hungrier and fatter by the day." Then he tried what was - at that time - a revolutionary diet, and quickly lost 10 kilos, (22 pounds.) That caused him to realize, "the amount of weight I've lost doesn't work with any of the handed down science I was told."

Thus began the journey of The Pharmacist Who Gave Up Drugs.

Health care "Cost savings" also apply here in the US... why doesn't Center for Medicare and Medicaid want to save $$$$? & private medical/ health insurance companies as well? Are all these entities in bed with big pharma, big food manufacturers, and conglomerate hospital chains?

The reafon the NHS doesnt deprescribe is because the UK is getting sicker, access to health professionals is limited or rationed, its quicker to just wtote a scrpt instead of understanding patients health. A few years ago I was on 28 pills a day. I tried to discuss this with my GP because of side effects, and my intention to refuce my drugs, safely and step wise (I am a retired Life Scientist) she was horrified. She reached for her prescription pad and offered me more medication for the lside effects. Been carnivire for 20 months now, free of pain, brain fog and walking for the first time in years. GP has retired.

REALLY ENJOYED this talk. I hope I come across Mr. Phillips much more. Feel more hopeful that medical care can change for the better but grassroots efforts in combination with innovative, nongreedy professionals is necessary. Education is a major key for all of us. Thank you 67 y/o F taking more meds than I want.😢
