It was cold out lately, so I thought I'd give the outdoors a crack at cooling this PC.

I place the front of the PC outside my sliding glass door then close it so it's pressed against the case. I then use a diy insulation board to cover the open part. The fans pull the cold air and the case gets very cold. I then crank up the heater and iF/When it drops to that cold I start overclocking till it's running 100+ degrees Fahrenheit. Got my daughters 9900K OC'ed to 5.1 GHz easy. I now have a 13900 KS so when it snows again I'm going to take that to 6.1 IF I can 😊.

I bet this computer can run on the planet Mars without a thermal blanket

You obviously shouldnt have it in snow but having your pc outside, for example in a rainproof spot on your balcony is amazing. In summer it doesnt heat up your room and the fannoise doesnt bother you, in winter you get better performance out of your hardware and the pc uses less electricity under full load. When the temperature gets below 0 you should leave the pc on at mimimum load and not shut it off so nothing can freeze or build up moisture. I have been doing this since 6 years and the thing still works and has barely any dust in it.

I bet you squeeze a lot more performance out of it when it’s this cool.

I have nice covered gazebo (place outside a house with wind cover, roof, benches, table and outlet). Had few good gaming sessions there on my gaming laptop in winter up to -10 C. I should say I didn't mention much noise deduction on my Lenovo Legion Y540 laptop. In decent load it was sounding like a ready to take off aircraft even in that cold environment ))
Air outtake was still hot enough to heat my hands.

My ideq using portable air conditioner (cooling iff the air). The portable AC using ice inside the plastic bottles. The airflownout of that units shoild be cooled off a bit. For quite long. And the wind that it blows enter the pc system. But it must be adjusted so the intake air is one direction with the airflow from the exhaust fan of pc

Antartica is a desert, where he is it’s appears very much not so. So condensation and the humidity would very much be a problem here

For everyone who wants to attempt this, taking your laptop/pc in the cold then back inside, creates moisture and instantly bricks your MB.

What will happen if you make a pc and cool it down constantly with refrigerated water.
