We will require a form of mandatory minimum income. AI cannot be left in the hands of for-profit companies if we expect to maximize using AI for good. The dangers are very real & most people don't seem to realize how quickly this is unfolding. If we do not use policy to mitigate the economic inequality AI is going to create we will descend further into a dystopian nightmare. AI has the capacity for such good only IF we prioritize the good and not the profits. I'm doubtful we'll do what is necessary.

If AI figures out a way of other data storage and other source of energy then a new God comes into existence. At that point no rules or restrictions towards AI can be applied. The only rules that will be applied are to humans. Perhaps, reprogramming the human brain will be the first AI’s agenda.
