The BOV is for releasing turbo excess pressure. If it's blocked off you get chew chew noise from the turbo. So instead of the excess venting out or being recirculated to keep the turbo spooled.. so it should not be over boost. That would be things like a waste gate issue or boost controller issue..

You can block the recirculating bov off if you put a small pipe attachment on the front mount piping and get a hose, a couple clamps and a universal bov adapter etc. Recirculating limits your power a lot but if you're not fussed it isn't a big deal... I would havs also gone for a HKS SSQIV bov, they sound a lot nicer and are easier to work with but to top it off they have different colored sound inserts that make different sneezy boi noise

I know exactly how it feels to get the car going again. Sucks being not able to drive around in it. Feeling that way myself. Having to replace the old 350 small block Chevrolet motor in my 1988 squarebody Chevy Suburban 4x4 and it’s a bummer not being able to take it anywhere.
