The Evo 8 is lighter but it seems it has less power than the mivec engine

What was power level and mods on each car though. I've owned a 407whp 405wt 2.3 stroker VIII and a 488whp 376wtq X GSR and the VIII would have kept up with my X but would have lost by a little bit. The X was nice car and handled beautifully on some proper coilovers, but I miss the rawness of the 4G63 and the VIII chasis and driving experience.

The secret is 5, 500-5, 800 rpm’s. At least on my X. But I had the whole driveline lightened and about 400lbs out of the car.

Stock for stock the ten is not that quick. Wouldn’t have pulled that quickly. I’ve driven both and currently have 4g swapped cars.
