1. New System Animations and Dynamic Theming

Samsung has revamped the system animations as a part of the One UI 4/Android 12 update. They are more fluent and cohesive and take better advantage of the high refresh rate displays on newer Galaxy devices to offer a smoother user experience. There's a new charging animation as well when you put your device running One UI 4 on charge.

2. Updated Widgets

Samsung has redesigned its widgets in line with the new Android 12 style, which feature a more polished look with rounded corners. Some of the widgets also show a bit more data, but that's about it—they have not gained any new functionality.

If you gave up on widgets previously or just never bothered to use them, the new polished look will give you enough reason to use them.

3. Redesigned Quick Settings Panel

The Quick Settings panel has once again been redesigned in One UI 4. The icons are now more compact, with the brightness slider being made thicker for easier control. The notification grouping style has also changed in One UI 4, and it's a bit more compact.

My S10 Android 12 became more power-efficient, faster, smoother, and still looks fresh. For now, I don't need 5G, 120hz refresh rate, no headphone jack, and no memory card slot. I hope they bring back the headphone jack and card slot for the S23 or S24 before I retire my S10.

it has been so long and my s10+ is still on ui 3 (android 11) And every time i check for updates it says its up to date.

I swear these reviewers live in another world than me, all I get is slower everything, slower and sluggish animations, and bugs for months.

There is an awful bug in Android 12 on my S10. Whenever I go to the homescreen, even though it shows the homescreen, I have to wait a second or so before clicking anything on the homescreen or I would be clicking the app I previously closed, i.e. it shows the homescreen but the app is still open. Also, if you swipe up (halfway to go to the homescreen) and then swipe down to use the app again, you have to wait 1 second before you can use the app. These are very annoying.
