The Samsung Galaxy S10 is over 4 years old already- along with the S10+, S10e, and S10 5G. But they don't look like it with the gorgeous display and premium hardware- how does the S10 hold up, should you upgrade, and could it still be worth buying?

4:57 - CORRECTION: There is a microSD card slot on all S10 models EXCEPT the S10 5G, I got mixed up :)
Premium hardware - no other way to describe the 2019 Galaxy S10. 4 years later, it might not be top of the line, for under $200 you'd be hard-pressed to find a nicer looking device.
What do you guys think of the S10? More Android phone reviews on the way soon!

The Galaxy S9/Note9 and S10/Note10 series were the peak of Samsung imho. The Note 9 was the last everything phone with the S10 series having little compromise as well. Such great phones

It's hard to believe the S10 is as old as it is. It feels like yesterday it came out. Great series of phones from Samsung!

I've been using an S10e since march of 2020. I don't plan on upgrading for a while. This phone still does 100% of what I need it to do, with little to no slowdowns. $100 is definitely worth it if you're looking for a good bargain.

One of my bros still uses his S10+ up to this day since 2019, and still holds up gracefully -- despite its back glass came off sometime ago 😅

Did anyone else catch the fact that the video is exactly 8:55 long? That's either a complete coincidence or one of the best easter eggs I've seen in a tech video since the S10s use the Snapdragon 855

my wife has one she still uses, she actually went to the Pixel 4a because the s10 camera glass cracked. she loved the 4a as well, but when it died in the bath, I found it was actually really easy to repair, so I did! It is honestly a better daily phone than my Pixel 6 in every way (other than refresh rate - but I get so many accidental touches on the pixel it drives me nuts) the size is ideal, it has a headphone jack, the newest camera updates give good photo's and it feels modern, fast, and premium. If they made a new phone that was the same body as the s10 with a 120hz screen and new processor I would jump on it in a heartbeat.

I got an S10 for my mum ($200 aud in fantastic shape) and she loves it. it's plenty fast for her, it takes nice pictures and she loves the colour(we got the blue-pink iridescent one). the S10 is still a great phone for people who aren't majorly into tech.

I love my S10 plus 1TB, it's still like brand new but had to get the S23 Ultra 1TB, but I find myself going back to the S10 plus periodically. Still flows like Fluid. I bought it on Pre-order and I still have over 500 GB left in memory. Sometimes I wonder why I purchased the S23 Ultra whenever I pick up the S10 plus.

One major thing that ended with this line is making the smaller phone have all the same things as the larger one. The s10 (which I have) has a 1440p screen where now that only comes on the plus/ultra model. Also this was the last series to use expandable memory and headphone jack. If not for the camera, I would not have upgraded (s23 ultra in the mail as we speak).

I loved my white S10. Beautiful design, great cameras, great display, light weight (so light compared to my S21U). But after 3 years of loyal service it was time to upgrade. I gave it to a friend and she's still using it.

I work in IT, but I'm not a fan of constantly upgrading gadgets, so the S10 is sufficient for me at the moment. I anticipate using it for approximately two more years.

Still use a S10+!! I still have microSD and an headphone jack and Android 12 is only 1 version out of date. I seriously don't feel the need to upgrade, it does everything that I need a phone to do.

It was pretty surprising seeing you make a video on the s10, since I bought it for my father a month ago as an update for his S5
He is genuinely surprised and excited on how fast it is and how great the camera was compared to his old one lol
PS: I got it for around 190 usd

I'm still using Galaxy S10+! It is surpringly good phone. Camera system is good enough for me. It isn't great, but it's good. Can't expect much from almost 5 year old device.

1TB of storage is also nice to have. I have it half filled and it is running great with little to no slowdowns.

Battery isn't great, but it's understandable for such an old device. Can't complain here, it goes through the day.

I wouldn't upgrade it for a year or maybe even two, but I've used Galaxy Fold for a few weeks and I absolutely loved the form factor of it, so I'd probably switch to a Fold4 in a few months.

Thanks for the excellent review. I bought a 10+ earlier today for $89 & free shipping off eBay. I'm looking forward to this "new" for me phone. Your review was very helpful and It helped me to believe I'll be more than happy with it. My old flip phone will be jealous I'm sure.

I am using the galaxy s10 and it's still a good value, I use it for my youtube channel as well as playing games and using apps and having my SD card FILLED TO THE BRIM with music so I think the s10 is a great value 😀 👍

I have an s10e and its the best phone ever made. Ive had mine for years and the back glass only has shards left, one of the metal corners is completely cracked as is the front screen and the phone is as snappy as ever, the speakers are LOUD and the clearest even compared to newer phones the camera is good enough for my purposes, it has fingerprint security and most importantly it has a 3.5mm jack that I use daily for my car or my cheap iems. Not the fanciest/fastest phone around but definitely pack a punch for a "budget phone", really durable too

Always wanted an S10 or S10e, I still do really want one of those in the ridiculous bright yellow, but even back then it was getting pretty old so I passed on them sadly. Do wish I got one sometimes.

There are 2 big reasons why I love my S10: (1) 512GB memory card slot, (2) excellent size and light-weight. The only problem is the battery; after 5 years of use, I need to keep it fully-charged within 24 hours. The camera works even better than S23FE which goes out of focus all the time. Note: I made a mistake of buying a S23FE and I am still using S10 as main phone instead of S23FE.
