The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild -
FASTEST WOOD FARMING -
Farm 100 Wood in 10 minutes
(Be a Lumberjack!)

Wood is incredibly useful is Breath of the Wild. Campfires for time traveling, roasting fruits and meat, melting ice blocks, staying warm and building up Terry Town.

This farming method will net you about 100 pieces of wood in less than 10 minutes without causing ANY wear-and-tear on your weapons. PLUS, as a bonus, you get a sh-- ton of apples.

You'll need the remote bomb upgrade. That's it! An ax can be useful which is why this farming technique takes you right to an ax if you do decide to add it to your wood-chopping arsenal.

There are 2 optimal locations for this to work:

1. RITO STABLE: Located east of the Rito Village. Fast travel to Akh Va'quot Shine, turn right, and paraglide to the Rito Stable.
2. SATORI MOUTAIN: Fast travel to Mogg Latan Shrine, turn right, climb up the hill, and paraglide to the apple trees.

By alternating between remote bombs you eliminate any downtime between explosions, you have the potential of knocking down more than one tree at a time, you don't lose any durability on your weapons, and you aren't waiting on stamina to replenish. After much testing I found that there is no objectionable difference in the amount of wood produced using an ax vs using a bomb.

In choosing the best location we're looking for the right combination of tree density vs enemy spawn. We want a high amount of trees with a low amount of enemies. This is what determined the two locations. There are other locations that meet these requirements but they didn't have extra wood lying around or produce a stupid amount of apples.

To mitigate any potential enemy spawns sit by a fire until morning before you start farming. This keeps all of the nightly creepy-crawlies in the dirt during your tree-bombing escapade.

Farming Steps:

Rito Stable
2. Sit by the fire until morning
3. Destroy all of the wood piles that are lying around
5. Throw, detonate, switch (TDS)
6. Try and knockdown as many trees as you can with every throw (do not worry about turning the down tress into wood just yet)
7. TDS all the way to the last tree
8. Turn around and marvel at all of the fallen trees
9. TDS back to the stable, turning the fallen trees into WOOD, and picking up the wood
10. If there are a few fallen trees that are too close to bomb, feel free to hit them with an ax
11. Use this same TDS method to take out the trees on the other side of the path
12. In five minutes you should net between 55 - 70 pieces of wood

Satori Mountain
2. Once you find the apple tree cluster, use TDS to clear out the trees
3. Pick up wood and apples
4. In three minutes you should net between 30 - 40 pieces of wood

Because of the randomness of wood made from trees your results will vary slightly but should be well within the ranges listed above. Trees respawn after blood moons so feel free to come back to these locations as part of your post-blood moon farming.

If you teleport back to rito village shrine, the piles of logs at the stables respawn. Just FYI.

Another really good spot i've found for farming trees is the forest area near the great fairy fountain close to Kakariko village and the reason why it's as good as it is because there's a hill to the side of the great fairy fountain, if you alternate between on that hill and down the hill all the trees keep respawning. Sorry for any spelling mistakes i might've done.

4:23 ... they do respawn if you teleport away, so if your doing something like building up the one town that requires 10 then 20 then 30 then 50 wood you can simply get enough wood for the first time and second time in one gather, go get the person but then before returning go back and regather the wood turn in the person and the wood then teleport back get more wood then teleport to the next person then teleport to get wood then teleport to turn in the person and wood then teleport to get wood, teleport to get last person teleport to get wood teleport to turn in the last of the quest and you should have a ton of extra wood due to the mandatory teleportation.

Going into this, it looked like u milked it with the 10 minutes. But after watching, I’m impressed at how much information you fit into such a small window of time. Good work

this video is done very well. production quality and the actual information are on point. this will be useful to me on hard mode. double edged weapons cut a tree in one swing, regardless of their damage output.

Mount Santori has several food spawns around it, durian fruit, peppers, apples, endura carrots, mushrooms and lots of ore.

This was very helpful, you can also save and immediately load the game to get the log to respawn without having to teleport and glide back.

I think the forest behind the little farm at the top of hanato village is a good place to get some wood too because there's so many and they're real close together. Not to mention there's tons of mushrooms and wildlife. Plus best thing is if you take your time with it some trees will respawn near the entrance of the forest.

Rito stable its self is the best place to farm wood.

Go to Rito stable chop all the logs piles (except the one pile furthest away)> save and load your game and all the logs will re spawn so you can rinse and repeat the process, each pass yields roughly 18 wood

Just to see i set a timer for 5 minutes i did this both with the bombs and with double axes, (i used 2 double axes in 5 minutes but the first was probably damaged before hand) and got 108 using the double axe and for the bombs in the same 5 minutes i got 85.

I think the reason is that when you use the bombs not only do you have to make sure your far enough away that you don't take damage from the explosion some times the explosion causes the wood to fly further so you sometimes have to chase after it where as with the axe it takes one swing and the wood just falls in the same spot every time.

This piece of information will come in handy for those participating in the Tarrey Town sidequest.

With the travel medallion, just put one down by the stable, blow up the free logs, teleport to the medallion, boom, respawned. :)

Ever since I found out about the wood requirement for getting Link's house I just blew up most trees that I came across. Especially when I was farming any kind of fruit like Hearty Durians. As such I haven't yet had to spend time specifically farming wood.
