Why rerolling is a waste of time in Honkai: Star Rail

THE POINT in rerolling is not to get most overpowered units, the point in rerolling mostly is to get character that you like (art, style, va, etc) playing without that character simply could be boring, I got jean in genshin after 2 years from standard, I don't want to wait same time just to get bronya to play with her.

Himeko's buff has already been anounced(and seems to be pretty good) as well as welt buff, bronia slight nerf(basically she can't give herself extra turns anymore) and a lot of buffs and nerfs to the 5* ligthcones

I will reroll infinitely for Himeko. Waifu over meta. She is getting buffed on launch too, so should be a lot stronger.

I think rerolling is better, but I never reroll because I think the amount of time I put into one account while everyone is rerolling means more than getting a character slowly over time.

Rerolling is such a pain in this game, but as an OG honkai player, not having Himeko or Bronya+Seele in my account is not acceptable

If you spend the 20 initial rolls on the standard banner ( as oppose to the beginners banner with discount )., and you reach rank 15 you'll have enough for 40 pulls on the beginners banner and 10x pulls (1600 gems) for the limited banner.

You don't need to reach level 15 at all. After meeting pompom in the astral express and claim the lvl 5 rewards, you can buy 5 pulls from the Embers shop and spend around 640 jades to reach 50 pulls. That takes roughly 55 minutes to 1 hour or so, which is much faster than waiting for level 15, and imo using 600 jades at the beginning to get your fav or the meta pick you want is very much not a waste of time.

When it comes to Hoyoverse games I don't reroll since it takes a long time.

As a F2P I'm sticking with my four star characters and save. I don't want to make the same mistake as Genshin. (Yes it's an easy game but due to FOMO there are some 5 characters I regret getting).

Honestly i was planning to reroll but then in my first star rail special pass ten pull thingy i got then right after that i hit lvl 15 getting 10 free star rail passes which made me hit beginner pity which made me get himeko
I think im finally lucky for once :D

There is another method for reroll tho. Completing space station herta activities and getting the trailblazer level rewards with pompom gets you exactly 50 pulls for beginner banner and 10 pulls for seele banner. While it is still quite a bit of effort, it still means i get a full reroll 5 star after hitting Level 10 rather than 15. Also i got seele at 2 out of 7 accounts.

Also a lot of people who reroll actually want to reroll not for how good the characters are but mostly preference. be it character design or character gameplay..its not always about how strong a character is. People say welt is good but i really hate his playstyle. He doesnt move around that much. I prefer a character who acts in wide showy and flashy manners so i can feel their enthusiasm in battle

All i can say is that bailu at best is a get out of jail free card if you really screw things up and your main dps dies while shes still out.

I don't plan to reroll, but I do plan on using two accounts.
So what I'll end up doing is get both to level 15 and so which of them gets my most desired unit will be my primary account. Chances are though, whichever account can survive on its own, without extra rolling, will be my secondary account cuz it will be 100% f2p so I won't be able to get much until Jing Yuan drops.

8 days later, let me tell you. It is definitely not a waste of time to reroll :3 all I can say is im GLAD I rerolled. Selee is enough to carry me through everything honestly I can relax for a year of content or so and not to worry much anymore on who will carry me. The most efficient way was to select a character on all the server since Idc about lag on a turned based solo game anyways, so a single gmail left me with 4 tries in 1 gmail, for the pull with seele with me getting determined and rerolling hardcore got me to 40 mins per try to get seele, I just watch netflix or youtube on my second monitor while I hafly play the game since most of it is just cutscene, It doesn't need your full attention at times. even in battle you can memorize where to click since you willl beat no matter what you do in first few battles. Especially now its even better as you get the free x10 event banner pull, you will have x20 event banner pull tries per 45 mins. I got seele and she has been carrying me throughout, Im a simple person and she will carry me most of this single player experience, there is no pvp so YES rerolling is definitely important in this game. TLDR either you SUFFER for months on your non p2w account if you are unlucky or suffer early to get a great start and be at peace for years of content without crying for a better team.

I rolled for bailu on my main and got clara. I rerolled for bailu on reroll acc and got bailu. It works if you have decent luck
