How to increase your students' star and skill level is a critical topic.

Only two students in one-star are worthy to increase their stars, the first one is Serina.
When you increase her star to two-star, she will receive a passive
It's a big boost to her as her healing effect increases a lot.
So, it's a must to increase her star to two-star because it increases healing power.
It is not recommended to increase her to three-star.
But if you wanna further increase her healing power,
you can still increase her to three-star. It is up to you then.
But if she doesn't die too often, it is not recommended to increase to three-star.
Let us talk about her skill one by one.
If you want to promote her ex skill, it is best to increase it to level three.
Because the ex skill has a great boost at level three and level five.
If you don't have the materials, you can level up to level two first.
Her second skill is random healing someone in the team.
If you want to use this student
Level four or seven is recommended
Then for the third skill, you just need to increase to level four.
Then we'll talk about Kotama, who is also a one-star character.
Kotama is more useful for high difficulty dungeon.
If you want to clear the campaign, you can still use her.
But the skill requirements are not very high.
You just need to max her first skill and last skill. You can leave the second and third skills alone.
It is not very useful for increasing accuracy.
The fourth skill is to increase the attack damage.
I think it's a great boost for your team.
although the effect is not as big as increasing the crit.
but the increase is more stable
In the early stage, doesn't need to level up her skills.
But if we are in the middle and late stages, her ex-skill has to be increased to level three.
For the last skill, level four is almost good enough for the middle stage.
Her ex-skill has a fairly large range, so it is very useful in the total assault.
In a conclusion, I'd recommend the ex-skill to level three
The second skill is not worthy to level up.
The effect to reduce the enemy's attack is not very big.
When you increase this skill, the attack attributes stay the same so not a big influence in the combat.
The third skill is not useful at all as her ex-skill is working on our own students.
Then the fourth skill is recommended for a minimum of level four and then level seven. Of course, if you don't have enough money and material, this skill can be increased later.

Do you need to level up your hp equipment for special unit? especially healer, does atk increase make them heal more?

Btw if you already have a karin already you dont need to 3 star your kotama cause they have both same 3rd passive. Just save your eligmas for more powerful 2 stars.
