For all of you people saying that this is a workable solution for first coat you just prove that you’re a rookie and it’s amateur hour at your house, if you don’t float the joint out on the seam, you’re gonna have a rounded bulge in your wall.
For third and or fourth coat i.e. a putty coat it’ll work great. This is 54 years of finishing hanging and finishing drywall several million board foot so save your debate with me first and second coat you got to float the damn thing out so it’ll be flat as can be.

I worked a painting job with a girl that looked similar and my coworkers watched her very closely to make sure she was doing right.

Her finished area here will need another coat. Visually you can see the mesh coming through. This is just feathering out the joint to where there is not a pro dime left there. Layering it outward makes the wall appear flat. But the taped joint has to be fully covered before sanding. This one is not.

Why is the second coat being applied if the corner tape has not been put on and the joints are still wet ?

See them bubbles in the mud when the light is shining on it? that's what happens when you bedd coat before the tape dries.

It Shrinks, While It Dries, Then do It Again, Then You Sand It to create Smooth Surface. Then If it's Not smooth, You repeat the procedure Again

Skim blade after trowelling makes for invisible joints, so if I was still doing this work, I would follow this same procedure. But I wouldn't look nearly as good doing it.
