For those of you saying it was a bad shot and unethical I have a couple of things to say. 1 the dear was dead right there. It was like unplugging a computer. Everything turned of at impact. 2 Assuming it is legal to use feeders where they were hunting, who made you the voice of ethics? Congrats on a very nice deer. Hahaha, I like the blackout myself. Short, light, low recoil, versatile, and cheaper to reload. But most of all, I love hearing the excitement in her voice!!! Great shot, girl!!! Smoked him!!! It's awesome to see women in this role!!! They have been taught its not a womans role. But way back in the day, it was common for women to also hunt. That's when it took the entire family unit working as a team just to survive. It sounds bad, but those days were so much better than what we see now. Great job!!! Keep her into hunting, guy!!! Great shot. Unfortunately in PA, we're required to remove all feeders and licks a month before the season kicks off. Mostly in an effort to control CWD and other transmissible diseases. Definitely makes it easier but I appreciate the patience and true "hunt" in it all. Cheers.

Very versatile round. Of course you can shoot subsonic ammo with a suppressor but even if you couldn't the cartridge is completely justified when you consider its performance with 110gr and 125gr and the compatibility/ modularity in AR platform. I have a mountain of 300 Blackout brass I have formed from neck split 223 cases. It will last at least three to four reloads as 300. Very economical gun to shoot.

I've tagged out this year already not even 1/2 way into the season here in SE Texas & I only use 110g A or V-Max (red tips)
Not 1 miss & all deer have dropped like a rock. (Many Big Hogs as well) When cleaning I've found pieces of the bullets all over inside the deer! Many say, they won't expand or break up on impact but that's BS.
2 Does & 2 large Bucks (1 was an 11p, should've been a 13 but was broken off) down & all had shrapnel all over inside the carcass. It was Weird also because after each shot I could count to 1 almost 2 sec & hear that "Thump!" I know I made a good hit.
I zero'd for 50y & I can adjust my scope, PA 4-14x44 up 4 clicks & dead on at 100y, 4 more clicks? Dead on at 200y.. 120 Remington OTFB are extremely accurate also out of my 16" Grey Ghost Precision Upper.
