The alkaline explanation by that Taiwan importer doesn't hold water at all. 😂

I choked when she said alkaline water has smaller molecules. Which planet was this water bottled from.

Another good episode!
Any chance you would consider doing one to investigate / determine how safe it is to consume hot beverages / soup / food served in plastic bags / containers please? Thank you!!

Great that they brought up microplastics.
While not a must, you can also boil the water or let tap water stand for a day to reduce the chlorine.

The limited point that this documentary proves is that in Singapore, bottled drinking water is not really necessary.

You know you live in a first world city when you can aspire to be a “water sommelier”.

The presenter was right to say " there not enough evidence to say Alkaline water is good or better, but the woman just answered" drinking water is good for us " She is not actually answer the presenter questions .haha, !!

The General Manager was ill-prepared for this interview. She started with the concept of alkaline water and how it helps to neutralise the stomach (which will always be acidic or it wouldn't be able to do its functions) but was stumped by the question on the lack of study on alkaline water. It went downhill from there and she totally dug a grave for herself by telling us that alkaline water molecules are smaller.

When asked about the 8.8 ph level she replied that's only sounds good for feng sui I suppose....LOL.

U missed out a major point and that is does the water have antioxidant property.... Water having orp negative is very beneficial for our overall health..

I love mineral water but I'm starting to get skeptical about it's benefits in a plastic bottle ..hmm 🤔

I think some things everyone should be aware of is that while water does not go bad necessarily, the plastic bottle does. It can degrade into the water. If left in a hot car after falling to the floor and being left there for a a long time (perhaps a day, a week, a month or more?) it will be more unsafe to drink as time goes on. So, imo, the microplastic test could just be that those bottles are older and high amount could just result from an older bottle. Also, all bottled water and perhaps some tap water that isn't well water has some amount of chlorine purposefully mixed in to it to prevent unwanted bacteria from growing. As for which is best, technically you want mineral water of some kind, depending on where you live and where your water comes tap water works. Tap may actually be best as it can reduce plastic used, save you money, as well as give you the minerals your body needs and expects from water. Technically, adding a filter or purifier can reduce the minerals making it less "healthy." Since it may not matter what you drink, overall, imo you should go for tap water either straight or purified/filtered depending on your locations water source and your preferred taste to save money and plastic. If you really want some electrolyte water I would recommend electrolyte tablets in your water every now and then. But it isn't usually needed unless you aren't getting enough minerals like salt or sweating immensely.

The alkaline explanation by that business owner is totally nonsense and 0 facts . What she's saying is rubbish and contracting with basic science.

I stopped watching after the sommelier claims that "water cannot enter into cells without electrolytes". This goes against everything I've learnt about osmosis in school. (But I'm relieved our tap water has 0 microplastic particles per litre.)

Spring Water is abundance in one area half an hour drive near my area. People need to know, it's content from flow down from mountain & rocks. Although there is chlorine free, but its nature is cooling to the body. Not really suitable to drink everyday.
