Is Genshin Impact Traveler a Fraud?

After the recent fight with Arlecchino, I was kind of surprised at how easily she beat the Traveler. So, I decided to reevaluate every single battle from Traveler's past and check their actual power level. Who was helping them and who wasn't, what was the situation at the time, etc. And the results are quite surprising as you can see from the video's title (at least for combat prowess). Plot armor & power of friendship is a dangerous comfort zone, and losing against Arlecchino is a wake up slap with "you are not invincible, and you are not the main character of this world".

One of the few "truths" that we were given throughout the game is first spoken by Zhongli, in that we are "witnesses". Furina knows this too - and this would require a book in and by itself. We are not the protagonists of the story of Teyvat, rather we are catalysts: we either set up events, or partake, or we get them unstuck in some moments. We are not supposed to be the "hero" of the story, we're not even out there for that reason. We're a fairly regular someone trapped in a bigger scheme who helps those around him out of goodwill (from the traveler perspective at least, I strongly believe that all of this is guided) so it's only fair that we don't go around mopping the floor with deities, demigods and legendary monsters. We are to "see" what happens, and the Fontaine arc made this particularly explicit. We were to see the prophecy unfold and be countered, that's all.

The traveller is basically a host for others peoples's wishes.

They receive buffs from others and with those buffs, they try to help those peoples.

It makes me think of what Zhongli said in his story quest. The traveler is a witness to Teyvat. Rather than being the strongest, we're just a strong person seeing everyone and everything in the world.

I think the biggest problem with the Traveler right now is Hoyo is telling us but not showing it. We constantly hear about how strong the Traveler are but never showing it to us players.

I disagree with “Hoyo just hates Signora, ” I think Childe got stronger since the Golden House. He is always fighting and training his skills, as seen in the Labyrinth Warriors event.

She beat his ass in the first fight, then the second was technically a stalemate, she just conceded at the end.

It also bothers me a lot that the devs seemingly make Traveler's kit ass on purpose. He was actually decent with Dendro, so hoyo made extra sure to ruin his Hydro kit.
Traveler is also listed as a 5 star, yet has 4 star level multipliers. It's like they're doing everything they can to dissuade us from using him.

As for the La Signora fight, I personally believe that though she had the strength of the 8th position when appointed, she gradually lost a lot of fighting strength due to her Cryo Delusion and the Crimson Flame eating away at her. Also makes sense that her title is "The Crimson Witch of Embers" as she is not the "The Crimson Witch of Flames" she once was.

Maybe also why she had resorted to diplomacy over violence throughout the Prologue & Acts: 1 & 2 of the Archon Quests.

Side note: The Traveler has simply acted as a catalyst for the main plot events and fights through which much more powerful entities can take action and by themselves, they simply aren't that powerful.
