The Traveler is the playable protagonist of Genshin Impact. At the beginning of the game, both genders are twin siblings from another world, traveling throughout the universe, until an unknown god blocked and captured one of them, and sealed their power to travel, leaving them stranded on Teyvat.

Honestly just being able to switch elements in the character menu so I don’t have to go to a statue every time would be a godsend.

I dreamt once that that the Traveler could switch the elements on the go, making combos as a dmc character.
However, I was not able to have other party members.

This would be an interesting system if you were limited to doing out of combat. Maybe even mix and match skills and bursts. Either way good edit!

The traveler may just become one of the stronger 5* as the game gets developed.
If ever the traveler gained their original power back, I assume it would be the moment they also gain an animation of their own for their burst.

Edit: Remember we don't know the true power of the Traveller, since they lost it. As of now, they rely on elemental energy provided by the statues.
Adding — Any character can be a good character if you know how to build them. Even Aloy to an extent. In the end its not what character is "good/op", its if you *enjoy playing* said character.

They should make traveler his own slot so you could always play him

Imagine if there is a menu screen where you can pick Traveller's elemental skills and burst from the elements they had unlock so people can customize their own kit. Like a hydro skill and dendro burst for example. They already showed us the Traveller can use elements simultaneously after all.

I really hope this becomes a feature. After that one scene with Childe, it would be cool to switch from elements like that with the traveller, it would be so cool in battle, but also very useful for some puzzles SO I DONT NEED TO MEEP CHANGING PARTY MEMBERS ALL OF THE TIME

I feel like this would be extremely useful for open world, like geo traveler for a puzzle, anemo for collecting dandelions, electro for Sakura blooms, and the future elements for those pillars

This is exactly how I imagine the battle with the final boss - other characters are unavailable and we will use the traveler by switching his elements

The idea is extremely cool, it may sound op on paper, but artifact wise, you're only limited to universal artifacts so it's pretty balanced

That wheel with the elements is exactly what I envisioned for endgame Traveler after getting all 7 elements. Able to swap in an instant. It'd be so cool and lore accurate since they can use multiple at once.

For me Geo Traveller works so well with Zhongli. And I found it really weird to do quests and using another character instead of Traveller. So I kept Lumine in my Team since day one. Never switching back to Anemo tho.

Great concept, maybe it's a story thing we have to complete until we get dendro in sumeru, hydro in fontaine, pyro in natlan and cryo in snezenaya. i have a feeling the final boss will allow us to switch elements use all at once

Main reason why this probably won't happen: Having traveler be far more versatile than other units probably decrease sales on event units

I wanted them to sell (their profit = motive to add) a second, third and fourth version of the traveler, in the shop.

You can equip the traveler in multiple character slots in your party, and you can also choose the element type and artifacts individually. It gives the ability to play as the traveler using four elements at a time, and it would make sense for them to have multiple health bars since they're supposed to be strong/the protagonist.

In star rail you can change the path of the traiblazer from the menu, it should be the same for traveller in genshin
