2:45 Correction: You must be a “Natural born citizen, ” not necessarily born in the U.S. You can be born overseas as long as one of your parents is a U.S. citizen.

Very useful information, I became a US citizen this year and this pretty much covered all the questions I had myself and would have saved me a lot of time! I'll recommend it to my friends who are planning the same journey soon.

I was a green card holder for almost 20 years, being married to a citizen all these years. Three years ago wen my husband hired an attorney to write his will, it appeared that I have to be a citizen spouse, to be able to receive inheritance if this is a case. I also could not make my own will for our son. So yeah for he legal issues like this, otherwise I was fine with the GC

That was very informative.
Can you please make a video on rules for duration and related bindings during your green card status.
Thanks

If you like to travel, I think being a citizen is more practical. You can stay out of the US for as long as you wish, travel on the US passport, and you have the absolute right of return.

Great video! Very informative and straight to the point. And I have a question, can a US citizen who's living abroad petition a stepchild who's currently over 21 years of age but had a green card before in the past as a minor? A response would be much appreciated.

Good video, chock full of practical pros and cons. I understand this video is geared towards an audience interested in the family, travel, and financial implications of US citizenship. Those are huge ofcourse. It's also worth mentioning a sidebar to consider....do you agree with American ideology/the Constitution/the American position policy in the World? For most, that's an easy choice, a non-issue. Just saying, a point to consider, as renouncing your original country's citizenship and taking an oath of allegiance to the US is not a small thing.

My question is if you’re a green card holder and you decide to go into army program did you can get your citizenship after when you End of military service or wait until complete 5 years
And thank you for the information ♥️✨

If my step daughters that I sponsored have become citizens, it's safe to assume I no longer have any responsibility for them, correct?
If I divorced my resident wife and she has remarried, what is my sponsor relationship to her? We were married for 12 years, but she has not tried to become a citizen.
