I have a Dolphin Oasis Z5 that is 10 yrs old and I have taken it out after each cycle. Never had any plastic degradation issue. Plus, why would I want to keep it in the pool when not in use?? My biggest issue has been the vacuum getting stuck on the two main drain covers in the deep end. Drives me crazy!! (I turn the pump off when running the vacuum). Great video!

Great video. I bought a house with a pool and Dolphin robotic vacuum and had no idea about checking the impeller, Thx!

I just purchased Nautilus Plus. I wanted to know whether I should leave it in the pool or take it out every time. The video was beneficial. Thank you.

If you can’t leave it in the pool, Maytronics should remove the timer feature that encourages leaving it in the pool.

Love it man, well spoken and great advice. My power supply/caddy on my M600 is always undercover while the Dolphin is doing its job. Always stored away from the sun/elements when not in use. Keep up the great work, an Australian fan……

I bought a dolphin CC Plus 2 months ago and it was working great. I think the swivel cord got water in it already… how could this happen so soon?! Any suggestions?

I took care of this thing very well! Took it out of the poll immediately after use every time and everything

Currently shopping for a new dolphin, current Neutilus CC lasted 4 years. It was in the pool nonstop year around as I leave the pool open year round. (South Texas). Only took it out when we were swimming. Cord started to peel and it’s faded. Only problem I ever had before it finally gave out was the rubber tracks would come off and the cord would tangle sometime. Other than that I was very pleased. Based on the video, I will not be leaving the new one in the pool nonstop. Also had no idea about the impeller fan. 😭 Thanks for an informative video.

Warrior SI. After brushing steps I throw it in to pick up the fine debris. It passes right over some yellow gunk and doesn't pick it up.

Impeller had like 2 strands of hair. Clean. But maybe less suction if it been worn down over 4 years?

Quick drain flap was open. I reformed it and securely closed now. Still runs over fine debris and doesn't pick up.

Brushes look ok.

The skirt around the bottom (set of 10) looks a little worn.

Why isn't she picking up fine debris? There is a lot of yellowish crud when I clean the ultra fine filters. But still a bit left on floor if pool.

Thanks!

Great video, thanks. I just bought a m550, the first time in the pool today and it did well. The fans stopped working at the end (so i had trouble retrieving the bot from the pool), I'll try again tomorrow after checking the impeller.

This is a great video, thank you for sharing. If you are looking for ideas for more content, disassembly of a Dolphin Premier to clean out the impeller and other reasons would be good. There isn't any videos currently on it.

Left my M400 in the pool perpetually. Through two pools both salt and bleach chlorinated. Lasted 6 years before the cord wasted away right above the motor housing and let water into the housing. New motor and cable was 600 smackies. Just gonna replace the cable every 4 years.

I have M 600 and it still works and everything‘s great and I’ve pretty much kept it just as you said kept the power supply out of the heavy rain and made sure if it did get a little sprinkle of rain it is unplugged put undercover and let dry really well before I plugged it back in. Recently the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth doesn’t seem to work is there anyway to replace this without having to buy a brand new power supply?

Hello, our M400 doors are lot latching well. We were thinking that is because they may be dirty, and Pelican confirmed this. They suggested to prior off the latches to clean them. We tried to be careful, but the latch broke when we tried to take it off. Any chance you have a video showing how to remove a door latch on the M400 in order to clean it? Thank you

My S400 keeps giving me an “out of pool” error when I try to run it. It’s definitely fully submerged. Any idea what might cause this error?

Hi, loved the video. We have had our dolphin explode in the water with a bang! Did keep it in the pool all time, but it was only 4mths old. Can’t find any other story of this happening??

What should I be looking for if the cleaner does not pass the out of water test.
It has not turn off and does not go in reverse.
Tracks running in one forward direction and Impeller going aswell.

Nice video man, nicely detailed and informational. My nautulis has recently started the 10 minutes and quit thing. Unfortunately it's not the impeller or dirty filters. I'm thinking it's the cable because sometimes it will just continue moving again after sitting there for 30 minutes. Super weird

Is there an improvement with commercial Dolphins compared to the residential models; I.e. the Wave 60? What are the differences? Thank you for your help! Your videos have really helped me!
