I recently found a Toadlet with a injured/missing eye. He now has a large enclosure where his injury and lack of vision in one eye won't be an issue.

I'm 71 y.o. and have had a toad or two during my whole life along with lots of other reptiles and amphibians. I find them very interesting to have. I have even trained two of them to come when called with a clicker.

I just rescued a toad yesterday, she has only three legs and she can’t catch food easily, her name is now Teddy.

I have a Toad enclosure in my backyard with Toad houses and a small pond and vegetation, it's high enough where nobody can get in but the Toads can come and go as they please. They are soo cute, I love watching them and having them in my yard.

My granddaughter wants a toad for her birthday. Thank you for all this information. I will let her see it so she knows what she is getting into and if she still wants to have one!!!!

These toads brought back some good memories from my childhood! I used to love catching and handling the toads in my backyard every spring.

I was camping a few days ago with the fire going when a toadlet jumped into the fire pit and couldn't get out. He was jumping all over the place trying to escape the heat and ran under a burning log at one point. I dove in and scooped him out of the ashes and took him home to make sure he was ok. Luckily I have dart frogs so I had fruit flies ready. The little dude is doing fine now and is growing nicely.

Thank you! I just found a three legged toad in the wild and the poor thing could barely even walk. I couldn’t leave her but wasn’t sure if it was legal to take them from the wild or how to take care of them, this helps a lot!

I love toads and frogs. In the summer I love finding toads outside my front door. We had a few toads that lived under the deck at my mom's house when I was younger. We'd always see them hanging out right outside the door. We'd play with them for a little while, then release them and they never went very far. They're so cute. ^^

Emily: "Dont eat your brother, that's rude."

Me: Gee, I wish I knew that sooner...

This makes me want to go find a baby toad...I'm in love! Their lack of untelligence is just adorable! My goodness...I have a feeling I'll need a higher paying job with all the reptiles, birds, and dogs I want...

Thank you so much, I caught a small toad that's been hanging around my house for the past week and was dying to snag her as a pet and learning how easy to care for they are and that wild caught toads are able to be kept in captivity I'll probably keep her! I have a bearded dragon and he's pretty big so the smaller insects he usually doesnt care for would be perfect food for her!

Lol !! My daughter "saved" a bb toad from being hit by a golf cart at our camping and ... here I am, proud owner!! I have to admit the first month and half was hard, as several pet store told me it was way too small to be fed cricket and would most likely die ... so after a couple of orange 🍊 and fruit flies all around my kitchen, Lolly is now big enough for crickets!!! The girl at the pet store was so chocked to see me back, she told me ; I never thought that you'd make it (it's our first one), so now lolly is nice and healthy, very happy, and I actually really enjoy watching her chasing cricket, I actually think that she recognize me because she comes everytime I go close to her terrarium and I swear she's (or he) is looking at me !!
