I Built My First Electric Motor ⚡️ (MIT Motor Contest inspired, details in description)
Показать описание
I've been going through Walter Lewin's MIT course on Electricity and Magnetism on YouTube:
... and in the class, they hold a contest to see who can build the fastest rotating motor using only the following materials:
• 1 dry cell size D battery (1.5 V)
• 2 magnets
• 2 thumbtacks
• 1 block of wood
• 2 paper clips
• 2 meters of insulated copper wire
I used slightly different materials so my results are not directly comparable, but I used the audio from the video to estimate an RMP of about 1900. It was a fun challenge and I highly recommend the playlist to anyone interested in developing a better understanding of electricity and magnetism.
