I've hoped all my life for this wingsuit kind of flying. Now I'm 87, so I guess it's too late for me. But it's nice to know my grandchildren will be able to fly.

"It's a bird!"
"No, it's a plane!"
"Actually, it's Peter."

Even though I don’t see myself wing suit flying of any sort, it makes me feel wonderful that advancements such as this continually evolve changing the landscape of what can be done.

This is one for the history books. I’m serious. How long has flight like this been in man’s imagination?

I'm not sure which one is stronger: my will to flight like a bird, or my fear of heights.
That must've felt amazing. What an achievement. Congratulations!!

It makes total sense to have the power unit mounted below the chest. This puts the centerline of thrust below the centerline of drag and naturally causes a pitch up moment under power which is easy to modulate through the thrust control. Pretty cool!

You forgot to mention that this is the worlds most deadly sport, but still cool

As someone who has been skydiving, I can only imagine what it must feel like! With new technology comes new inventions! Really awesome!

That is absolutely incredible. As a product developer I cant give enough credit to the amount of work it took to get that up and running. astonishing work here and a credit to humanity.

I love how he went from "falling down from high heights hurts" but then turns around and says let's go skydiving 😂😂😂

Having dreamed of flying like a bird all my life, I love this, while far too old to try it, tonight I shall dream again .

Wow, I'm an aviation enthusiast and I always wanted to become a pilot but to see what Peter has invented with the assistance of BMW is truly remarkable engineering!!! I am a big cheerleader when someone thinks of the impossible making it POSSIBLE!

I am very proud of you Peter and your entire team and I look forward towards your next leap in your extreme adventures! So, from one inventor to another Touché my friend!

Herzlichen Glückwunsch Peter!

I have been skydiving ever since I was 19 and getting to witness such innovation is mind bending. It is not easy to maneuver swiftly in that suit and adding that electric jet can even make turning a little harder as your speed increases hence you get little time to take sharp turns. I don't know how he would manage it but this surely seems incredibly amazing to me.

Incredible technology. Love to see its development. Hope they gather more aviation engineers to make it run longer and better.

Those "impellers" are called ducted fans and they've been around since the 60s. Still an amazing design.
