I have been and am generally ‘too nice’ - too understanding and too accommodating. So friends tend to take me for granted, cancel on plans without much notice or start talking down to me because they don’t see me as a high priority and know I won’t show I’m angry or annoyed. But I’m fed up with it. I was like that because I am genuinely a kind person but also I felt lonely & too needy throughout my entire life so I’d give everyone too much leeway because I thought I needed them as a friend and I didn’t want to risk losing them. Really over being taken for granted now though.

The only person u can rely on is yourself don't depend on anyone else especially when u get use to them letting u down like all the time! They aren't worth your time don't waste a sec on them again! Love yourself stay true to yourself if they let u down over and over again they don't respect u or your worth and your time! I agree with all that you say - but DEFINITELY not the last bit! NEVER under any circumstances must you expect anyone to question what it is about them that’s possibly attracting such lousy friends who let them down; well intended or not, it only adds to their suffering and isolation... They really don’t need this self- chastisement at such a low ebb, and so I would DEFINITELY leave that out. I knew someone once who committed suicide because someone highlighted that it only ‘might’ be something about THEM that was attracting such lousy people in their life. It didn’t matter whether it was true or not - the person lost their life because they felt 'responsible', and so I would DEFINITELY not advise that bit to anyone feeling this way. I'm going through this right now..thanks for this video! it really helps. yeah I just have to believe that this is a process that I need to go through to be the best version of myself..and I have to believe them when they show me who they are and accept it.. It's my 30th birthday today and my so called cousin/friend has let me down last minute I expressed my hurt and she turned it around onto me and attacked me called me immature for expressing myself and started to deflect I am cutting her out of my life from today 🙃
