Line 6 | POD Go | Home Use

In this video, Paul Hindmarsh demonstrates how POD Go can make home practice sessions even more fun.

With over 270 amp and effects models to inspire the practice time of guitarists and bassists, the POD Go is incredibly useful at home, as well as on stage, and in the studio.

Jamming along with recordings can be as simple as plugging an audio player into the stereo FX Return/Aux jack. Creating your ideas and playing over them can be as easy as adding the built-in looper to a preset and while looping, bass and guitar parts can be recorded on top of each other for the ultimate practice session.

Whichever way you decide to practice POD Go can make it easy, fun, and great sounding.

Keep up to date with Line 6:

Paul is awesome! Even though I own a Stomp, I still believe the Pod Go is the best budget amp simulator out there. Unreal value for your money.

This is how I use the Pod Go when I'm rehearsing for orchestra gigs and I'm well, on the "Go"! 😉👍

Great review and tasteful playing! I've had my PodGo for about a month now and am very happy and impressed with the tones... I find it's main use for recording in the studio or going direct in to a PA o powered speakers. I've done some really great sounding recordings going straight from the PodGo's main outs in to my interface with out the need to mic up an amp.... and also done some small restaurant gigs going straight in to a small PA also without the need to use a guitar amp.

ButI have to say... when I've connected it in to the front of my guitar amp I haven't been that happy as even when bypassing the PodGo's amp modelling and cab blocks, the unit doesn't seem to work as a true bypass and still seems to 'colour' the sound and muffle the tone of my amp. I use a Roland JC40 for it's amazing clean sounds, but when going through the PodGo I loose the amps tone... as I say, even when bypassing the amp modelling and cab blocks on the PodGo, and even when using the direct Amp Out jack which can be configured to tap out just before the amp modelling and cab blocks.... Basically this means that I can't use the PodGo just as a multi effects pedal board (with no amp and cab modelling)... Am I doing something wrong? In any case, just for it's use in the studio or for practicing with headphones it's worth investing in one!

My I phone has the lighting end. What type of cable do I need to get to use my iPhone for backing tracks to the pod go?

Thank you so much! One question! I have a POD GO, is there a chance pod go users can have some of the features in helix 3.0 firmware! I hope the waiting not to be so long!

Greetings from Mexico!

When will Pod Go Edit 1.13 or other firmware be released? It is a problem that you cannot use it with a MacBook.

is there any way to hear the line 6 pod go plugged direct FOH without a stage amp using a full band? I've seen hundreds of youtube videos talking about how great the new modelers are live, but not one video showing an actual band playing one direct FOH... Jeez and skip the board recordings too, Just stick a good old condenser mic in the back of the room. I don't want to hear a studio sounding recording, I want to hear an actual demo of what these things actually sound like live in a room with other musicians. HOW HARD COULD IT BE ?

I see there is a Line 6 Amplifi in the room. Is Paul using that for his speaker?

Is the pod go compatible with the spider jam?

What sample rate does the Pod Go output at. If I’m not mistaken it’s 48 kHz. Is that ok for music production.

Can I connect my POD directly into an FRFR like the headrush without anything else in between?

Can this be used as a daw controller? Like for instance control my sounds in presets for BIAS Effects for instance

The one thing I wish the Pod Go had that it doesn't is a pitch effect to raise or lower the tuning
