Thought you were supposed to allow the cuttings to heal over the cut section, before planting in sandy soil. A poly bag over would cause the cuttings to rot.

Why is the top so clean of the last piece planted? If it had been planted on the other end long enough to root the top of it would of been “scabbed over”??
