When i was in my early teens, my grandmother(who had atleast 15 aloe plants on window sills around her house) gave me a pot of aloe.... being 12/13/14 at the time, i didnt take very good care of it. that thing died, came back, died, came back, died, came back atleast 10 times. Aloe is so resilient. I forgot about it and left it outside over a new jersey winter and come summer, it was back as if it never went through the frosts, snow and harsh weather. If you're a beginner aloe gardener, don't give up if it seemingly dies. A little tlc and it will ressurrect over and over.

Hi! The massive Aloe Vero leaf is something I cannot live without. It’s available at the Piggly Wiggly here in Foley, Alabama. What I do is slice across about two inches of the bottom each time I use it for the whole day. Put the big leaf away at room temperature. I slice off the edges of my two inch piece, and split it open .There’s a top and bottom so they fit back together, when you’re not using it throughout the day. I just smear the juices in my hands and spread it on my face and body...It feels great and drys in one minute, to a soft silky feeling. The Aloe Vera can actually go right on your eyes and mouth...doesn’t hurt at all. No more oil of Olay for me. It’s good on burns...mosquito bites, and scrapes too. It’s been around for thousands of years...Yea for Aloe Vera...completely natural...and cheap.

My aloe that I’ve had for over 2 years now started making a bunch of pups last summer and won’t stop! I’m running out of containers 😂 in the fall I replanted 5 pups and there are already 7 more. It definitely loves the warmer weather (I moved it from Ohio to California) and a Terra cotta pot!

I keep an aloe in my bathroom. It loves the moisture and humidity, and I never have to water it.

I'm not saying my aloe is dead, but I'm definitely not saying it's healthy and alive either.

When younger I used to get the worst fever blisters. The side of my face would swell up and nothing helped. One day a co-worker brought me a leaf of Aloe Vera and told me to use the gel on my fever blister. I split the seam of the leaf and set it over my lip. It was so soothing. You can feel it draw the poison out. Ever since then I have always had an Aloe Vera plant and after that, I never got another fever blister. Let's put it this way, in forty years I can count them on one hand. One was from the sun. The gel is a GREAT drawing agent for horrible things like MRSA STAFF. God it was awful! There was a bump under my skin so I took the Aloe Vera leaf, gel side down, and secured the leaf with a gauze pad and hospital tape. In the middle of the night I woke up and dared look. This thing was fire engine red and looked like a mini volcano complete with open crater. I tried not to panic and immediately dressed it again. In the morning I dared look again and it was gone. Don't underestimate the medicinal value of the Aloe Vera.
An Aloe Vera plant will grow as big as the pot you have it in. It's a sun lover so an East window is the spot, but it will do good in any light. Don't think it's too cold. They grow in Russia. It likes to be broken for the medicinal gel I think because it knows it's healing.
This is such an important and beneficial plant to have in the home. Thank you for the video.

I feel like mine is unkillable! I've neglected it and forgotten about it and kept it in too cold of a place and my cats tried to eat it, and yet it still flourishes!

Such a useful plant. 🌱 You should use it in smoothies for a cleanse, rub it on your face at night thats what I do even works well at a hair gel 😉

I have a massive plant. My sister's children are African American and she uses my plants gel as a natural detangler on her childrens hair. It also works well as a free leave in conditioner. Also, what a time as this to use it with everclear and essential oil for hand sanitizer!💚🌿

I let my aloe freeze on the porch once. I live in Tallahassee, wasn’t expecting a freeze. It killed all the leaves. They turn almost translucent and droopy. BUT...it wasn’t totally dead. Sure enough, when warm weather returned, little green shoots started popping out of what looked like death stalks, and now it is back to thriving! Moral of the story...don’t give up on your plants! Life finds a way!

Started with a couple of aloes 3 years ago. Now, I could barely count how many I got. It just grows so fast. 😅😅😅 every time I repot, it keeps on multipying and growing. 🥰🥰🥰

Here in Sonora, about 2 kms from the Sea of Cortes, Aloe Vera grows like a weed and in no times it takes everything over, in spite of the relentless summer heat and sunshine that it has to endure. If I would have kept the numerous pups that I've gotten rid off on the property, I would have a huge aloe vera nursery by now!
This week, I'm going to remove the remaining three from the soil, and put them in individual pots. What I like most about them, is their flowers. The hummingbirds absolutely love them! 😊

Aloe Vera is a beautiful plant. By far my favourite! You can use it for cuts and burns, make it into lipstick, a face mask, moisturiser and so much more! It’s really endless uses.

Hi Kevin. I'm brand new to your channel and was super happy to find another gardener that I could learn from in Ca. :) This is such a great video as I recently purchased a small aloe plant that was already needing a little bit of extra care. I had it looking healthier until our last rain. I'm in Vista, zone 10. Your video helped me realize that 1. I'm transferring it out of the same exact planter as yours and into a terra cotta planter and 2. Remove it from the East side of my home so it's not getting too much sun. I'm also using the same soil as yours. Now, I'm getting ready to watch your "Grow your own Ginger". Oh, you can make your own hand sanitizer. I used lavender and/or peppermint oil, rubbing alcohol and aloe vera gel. I bought my aloe vera plant for medicinal purposes.
