Twenty years ago, when Investment-Linked Policies (ILPs) started, it was a chance for agents to talk about investments, because there were no other investment products to talk about. Back in those days, capital markets in Singapore were not so advanced. There were not many choices of Unit Trusts and people were not familiar with ETFs - which were not as easy to buy as it is today. ILPs gave advisers the permission to talk about investments.

In this third part of Christopher's interview with BagHolder Pod*, he explains if it makes sense to buy ILPs, or not.

Stay tuned for the next episode where Chris will share how Providend value adds as your trusted wealth adviser, even if it's simply about staying invested in an index fund for the long run.

*This video is the third out of six parts of an interview with BagHolder Pod published in April this year to help one navigate through the minefields of misinformation and false promises in the financial industry.
