Nice tips. If you fill your thermos with hot water for ten minutes then fill with coffee, you preheat the thermos giving you longer hot time👍

A small bolt cutter is a must in every boat. When my cousin hooked me in the leg two weeks ago that bolt cutter allowed me to fish for three more hours before my trip to the ER. Of course the hand sanitizer, a small plastic squeeze bottle of alcohol and some toothache numbing stuff helped as well. The bolt cutters and hand sanitizer are always at hand and not in a tool kit while the alcohol and toothache stuff is in the first aid kit. The toothache medicine numbed my entry point of the hook well. Just sayn'...know whati mean?

Makes more sense to keep a complete spare hub for your trailer. Ever try to remove a bearing race on the side of the road? I had a wheel come half off and destroyed the lug bolts. Glad I had a complete hub.

Love your videos… one tip I would add is to attach flotation to the tool, first aid, and other emergency kits. When you need those, your usually stressed and prone to making a mistake and having a kit go overboard. And if your boat swamps/sinks your have a chance at saving your emergency kits.

Add a cold chisel and hammer. (can't always find a big rock on side of road) Had bearing go out and race stuck to spindle. Had a hacksaw blade so made a groove and chisel split race. LOL didn't have spare bearing so had to unhook and find parts store

Awesome video brother. Thank you for the shout-out. Yep I learned the hard way to keep extra bearings and hub. Love all the other hacks too. 👍🏻

I keep a spare hub w bearings, seals and grease already packed in for my bass boat. That way if anything happens just pop it in and your ready to go. That way no grease gun needs kept in boat making a mess on the hot days. This is a must for any long trips or vacations.

My old quarf Stanley thermos I've had since 1973. That old thing still keeps coffee hot all shift. It's had the crap beat out of it. Dented, scratched, hardly any paint but, still works like it did when I got it.

Brother ya done it again !!!
All good ideas. I really like those mini ammo boxes. Heck you can put that first aid kit in one, tool roll in another, and they are gonna stay dry.
Man I love your videos, you aught to pat yourself on the back.
I appreciate your wife and family lettin you come out and play in the shop with us.
God bless ya brother and your family. Hope you have a blessed day my friend.

I'm new to your channel, and love it? I needed to get a hobby, so I started fishing, I saw your PVC rod caddy and decided to get it a try. I would like to show a pic, but don't know how. Needless to say, it works and even use it to store the rods in the garage. Just hang it on the wall! Thanks again for what you do!

Great video! Everyone should be prepared in case something happens. My daddy always taught me to "hope for the best, but expect the worst." I know I drive my wife crazy with things like this, but I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Oh - and that vacuum sealed bearing idea -

Great tips! I used the first aid the last time out. Somehow on the way back my son sliced his finger pulling the drain plug out of the fish box. Boat was bloodier from that than any fish we ever caught. Luckily I had a first aid kit in the boat and the truck so we were good.

For anyone interested in the MTM Ammo crate, be mindful that the ammo boxes themselves taper in at the bottom. They are not symmetrical like the boxes we all know. If using for ammo it seems like it's intended use would be ammo unpackaged and tossed into these.

Always brilliant- loved the boat hacks, and yes have twice had the bearing issues. I will add that my number 1 must have on a boat is toilet paper sealed in a zip lock bag. Like the bearings, one day you’ll need it 😮😂
