I like the original video better than the color-corrected video. Sometimes the best color correction is not correcting anything at all.

Thanks for making this content. I know this is not an advanced tutorial, but I rarely see any of the “basics of color correcting and/or grading” tutorials mention SCOPES. You can’t actually do any accurate color correction on a clip without referencing scopes. Don’t trust your eyes on the color correction step, they lie to you. Your monitor probably isn’t color accurate, so any adjustments you make by eye may look wrong on something else. Learn how to use scopes to properly adjust exposure, color balance as well as saturation and skin tones. Having a starting point as accurate as possible will make it easier to apply a LUT or preset and tweak it to get the look you want.

To anyone reading this, this is a great overview of the basics of the color panel (thanks for the video!). However, it may not meet all your color correcting and color grading needs. I highly recommend learning how to use Lumetri Scopes, as your monitor might not accurately represent colors. Relying on your monitor for color correction/grading is risky because most monitors do not display true colors. Monitors with true color capabilities are often expensive, costing upwards of $1000 or more.
