There is a short quest in Natlan about helping a kid who found a strange meteorite-like stone which fell from the sky. By the looks of the patterns on the shattered moon, its very likely that it actually fell down from there :D

Didn't the sky turn red in Khaenriah during the cataclysm? Would it mean they (the twins and khaenrians) saw the real sky before the all died and got sealed away?

As someone that knows jack about genshin lore, I would imagine it's there to be like a sort of semi-permeable membrane, letting some things in, but ultimately keeping some things out, whatever those impermeable "things" are, definitely intrigues me.
