Newbie solo traveler takes on SE Asia...

This video is from back when I first started traveling. This was about one week into my solo travel, around the world backpacking trip. It is crazy to look back and see how many tips and tricks I have picked up since then.

I am just leaving Singapore (where I started my adventure) and I am making my way to the island of Penang, Malaysia by bus then later I take a flight via Air Asia. ( I love Air Asia. Nice people and cheap flights.)

So the night before I was going to leave Singapore I met a local who gave me a lot of good advice on how to get there. I was to take a bus to the border, go through Singapore customs, get back on the bus, then go through Malaysia customs. After the Malaysian customs in Johor Baruh I made my way to the bus station and took another bus to the airport. Apparently this is the busiest border crossing in the world.
